I really should have stopped watching at "You can complete it immediately using tickets," there's nothing to see here.

2/10, would not bang

im convinced we are approaching the end of gaming, we had a good run fellas, it was an honor playing with you, the memories we harbored both alone and together will always be cherised, our victories, our defeats, our accomplishments, our shortcommings... nothing will ever be the same

So, it's pretty much Theme park mobile all over again. I knew where this was going to as soon as it mentioned tickets could be used to build things quicker. I'm guessing it will eventually get to the point where it will take something 20 hours to build even the simplest addition to the park - longer for a big rollercoaster - so they'll be counting on you being too impatient too wait and just cave in and buy some tickets. Though how you could even fit much in the tiny plot of land you have there is anybodys guess. I'm guessing additional land could probably be purchased for tickets. Only £69.99 for 5000 tickets. Best deal ever!

And that music that plays throughout the video? Dreadful. This whole project can take a running jump.

oh wow, that's... not good, to say the least. Yet another cash grab attempt from an old IP that the people who play this don't remember.

I think i'll just play the original which I got from gog, better music, no microtransactions... aaah, those were the days.

That's old news, what might grant us a sliver of hope is that they're going to make a PC version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 that's apparently:
a completely different game
if this article [http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-24-rollercoaster-tycoon-4-on-pc-will-be-completely-different-atari-promises] is to be believed.
"There's a lot of diehard RC fans that want a PC experience, they want all different sorts of things. It's trying to deliver as much as we can.
I'm still not trusting it though.

This takes bad sequels to a whole new level. What's next? Battletanx mobile? Army men mobile? Rogue Squadron Mobile? No, go ahead, keep doing this. I don't care anymore. You want to kill yourself this badly? Fine. You have officially earned the right to a slow, painful death.

These guys made asteroids and missile command! When did they get this bad?

Whatever, really. I was turned off by this series from Roller Coaster Tycoon three. The first is pretty much my 2nd favorite games from past times, and yet I've still never completed every scenario.

Maybe after I finally do that, I'll finally give RTC3 a chance. I put off buying it for eight years (my pc back in 2004 wouldn't have run it anyway), and now it's been sitting in my stack of games for another two years. I put it in and installed it once, thought it was ugly, scrolled down to the guests--sorry PEEPS on the pathway, and thought it was so ugly I quit after 30 seconds.

Seriously, PEEPS?

I like Roller Coast Tycoon because it has a dignity to its presentation and character. It's that of a classic, timeless world of fun and joy where your age, height, gender and race are no longer important; all that matters is what is your desired thrill level, and how much money do you have?

Not a hip, trendy, pop-sensational wacky WOO HOO GOOFY time where Guests are called Peeps, you fuckers

Usually because they aren't the same people, it's been taken over by scum that can make decisions and use excuses 'it's business' to survive. I don't know about Atari, but many big developers are like this now, many of the original creative artists are somewhere else now.

First of all:

What did you expect from a mobile game?

Second:

No they didn't kill "your childhood" or any other such pointless nerdrage nonsense
This game's existence will in no way, shape or form diminish the originals (which are sublime)
Now... go back to playing the originals.
it however, killed almost any hope of a proper sequel within our lifetimes

also FTL was ported to mobiles, and as far as i know it doesnt have microtransactions

Hmmmmmmmmm.....think I'm gonna just go ahead and give this one a miss. I hear the original beckoning.

Besides, I doubt you can stick everyone on a prison island in this version and give them a single $100 toilet to use.

Why? This Roller Coaster Tycoon is clearly specifically made for the F2P market of mobile devices. The PC market is different and a traditional RT is much more viable there than it is on mobile. You're being a little over-dramatic to say that Roller Coaster Tycoon is FOREVER damaged because of this one title on a new platform, operating under a business strategy specific to that platform.
