Odd choice from me (by all mean I'm not discrediting this game, I have played alot of games but yet I'm choosing this one without a doubt) is Okami.
The artstyle is gorgeous, the gameplay is fantastic, the music is wonderful and the story itself is great. To me it's one of a kind.

Best game: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5. Despite its flaws and combat focused system I've had my best gaming experiences playing that game.

Best computer game: Had it been best game during the 21:st century, Baldur's Gate II easily. Now it's a tie between Civ V and KotOR.

The last 10 years? Huh. Metal Gear 3 SNAAAAAKE EEEEATER! Some days - go through the rain. Some days - feed on a tree frog.
Gotta go with this one. SO MANY PLAYTHROUGHS.

FFX and Okami definitely come close mind.

Best game? Or favorite game?

If you literally mean the "best", then there'd only be a very small list. Depending on criteria. Things like best selling, most influential (genre defining/standard setting), things of this nature.

However, if you mean our favorite, then you're going to get a lot of different answers.

As for me, I'm torn. Part of me wants to pick Homeworld as my favorite. Another wants to pick Banjo-Kazooie. Yet another wants to pick Half-Life 2 and it's Episodes. Still another wants to pick Portal, Portal 2, Sins of a Solar Empire, Starcraft2, and a host of other titles.

However, I think I'm going to have to go with Half-Life 2. (probably not surprising to a few people who know me) It not only redefined a genre but set standards that are still in force today. Has it aged? Of course. Has it aged well? In some regards yes. In just as many, no. Is it a game everyone can love? Obviously not. But it's hard to say it wasn't one of the most influential and most finely crafted games in the history of the industry without coming off as disingenuous. Regardless of whether you liked it or not.

Fallout 3, but only the version with all the DLC. I could play that game forever, there is just so much to do!
That or MGS 3. I don't even know why, but something about that game tickles me the right way. I've played it so many times.

Eh, I can't make a choice between these:

Baldur's Gate 2: Best RPG this side of Planescape Torment.

Rome Total War: Best Total War game

Europa Universalis 3: Paradox' finest

Crusader Kings: Paradox' most fun game. I still need to make my current Duke of Austria and Bavaria king of whatever title I can lay my filthy hands on.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat: GSC at its finest. If you put a gun to my head I might say that this was the best game released since Deus Ex.

All of these are among the best games I've ever played. I can't make the choice.

Well I have been playing games since I was 5, which was in 2000. My favorite would have to be Oblivion (but only with mods). Currently playing it too. I can't help myself with waiting for Skyrim anymore.

Depends on what I want,
Multplayer FPS probably TF2
Shadow of the Colossus or Portal for single player
Left 4 Dead 2 was my favourite co-op experience
Psychonauts, super meat boy and SCII were pretty amazing too
However I must say that Big Rigs was clearly the GOTD, racing trucks at 30,000mph+ was just so awesome, YOU WINNER. Sarcasm doesn't work as well when typed does it?

Mother 3, he says, without even batting an eye. Others have tried, but nothing else evokes such strength of gameplay.

LittleBigPlanet, from what I can remember. That's just the game that had me for the longest amount of time and enthralled me the most. LBP2 was definitely better but by that time I had stopped playing console games as much. That's just me though, I'm sure everyone else has their own opinions.

Not exactly in the last 10 years(forgotten how long it came out) but I'm a fan of King of Dragon Pass for it's cross between a story telling RPG with RTS style thing. EV NOVA was good too. :p So actually in the 10 years? Fallout 3 or Vegas with plugins included.
