... Oh god my head, I can feel my IQ dropping every sentence I read of this. Seriously, are people that brainwashed so that they will believe anything Fox News has to say? Why do the masses believe this kind of argument that is absolutely based in logical fallacy? Fox news flames new ideas almost as bad as 4chan...

I take that back, Fox News is worse than 4chan by far. They are way bigger trolls than anyone else in the world. The worst part is that they get away with it! I can't stomach this anymore.

2) Maybe, just maybe, some otherwise oblivious parent might get the idea that it's their job to keep their children away from content of that nature, or to contextualize said content. (Though explaining the post modern satirical nature to a 10 year old would be kind of tough row to hoe.)
BAWHAhAhaHAHAHAHAHAHAHa that's a good one Parents these days aren't that great I see some parents that actually take time to look at the label before actually buying them but that's a small few out of the many that ***** about it because of what it has when they should have read the label

Carol Lieberman, a psychologist and book author, told FoxNews.com that sexual situations and acts in video games -- highlighted so well in Bulletstorm -- have led to real-world sexual violence.
?The increase in rapes can be attributed in large part to the playing out of [sexual] scenes in video games,? she said.
so pretty much fox news has called every gamer that played a game with sex scenes in it a dirty rapist

If a nine year old gets his or her hands on bulletstorm, that nine year old's parents have failed utterly.
...although really, the game appears to be targeted at people who are stereotypical fourteen year old boys at heart.
I disagree. I think this game is an homage to great older games like Duke Nukem or Serious Sam, absolutely no realism just plain fun.

I heard a 5 year old kid bragging to his brother today about how in a game he shot someone dead and blood went everywhere, i looked at the mother and wasn't suprised.

I'm an avid gamer and i love the industry, but i take issue with parents allowing their children to play or watch whatever the hell they want.
Children of 9 should not play Bulletstorm, if i had a child who was 15 and was down to earth i'd probably let them play it (being intelligent enough to have seen what is in the game already), if the kid starts swearing all the time saying rude things i'd take it away.

Unfortunately, not everyone is me.

On a whim I googled 'rape statistics' after reading this and, as it happens, rape in the US was reported as being down by as much as 60% since 1993. So, assuming that's accurate, we can pretty much kiss that point goodbye.

And for the record, I really don't think there's so much 'sexual' material in games to form the "large part" of motivation for sexual violence.

What I'm really trying to argue here is that Bulletstorm will not incite people to go out unto the world and force themselves on anyone.

That's why i prefer The Onion. At least they are saying things like that intentionally, while the guys at Fox actually think that it is the truth.

funny how they always mention little kids playing these games where the fucking box itself says it's aimed at a Mature audience, maybe crybaby parents can bother to monitor what their kids play or even learn to read to see what mature means

Seriously..?
A)I like the fine thing. 1,000bucks if you sell a M game to a 16 or younger. Yes that works because then if the parent buys the game, it's their own FAULT
B) How has fox (faux w/e) new NOT been sued for slander. They've done this enough to have it impact sales SOMEHOW. Isn't that ground for a lawsuit
C) Fox reminds me a lot of westboro in the sense that they constantly troll and yet never get the point of STFU it doesn't work...

Latest on the Fox News shit machine...

Sexual content and violence in games!
Focusing on Bulletstorm when there are dozens, possibly hundreds of other, better examples in both the sex and violence are even more extreme. We even had a great one less than two weeks ago.

Oh Fox, why wont you just live up to your name and be shot by professional hunters and mauled by dogs already?

Afterthought: Wonder what its going to be like when theyre choking on Duke Nukem Forever.... pfffffFFFFFFffft

What if a kid plays is not what FOX should be asking, this game isnt for kids in the same way that drugs, alcohol and sex isnt. It is mature content for mature people and it never said that it wasnt so why would a kid play it? Kids shouldnt play this as it was never intended to.

Also, saying that the games uses violence to justify the lack of gameplay quality is outrageous since Bulletstorm is actually very good in gameplay, skillshots are very fun, original and they work well

Ok so nine year olds play games that are not intended for them what do we do? Only ever make things for kids so all those therapists can rest assured knowing that children have a 100% foolproof barrier separating them from the scary realities of the adult world?

I stopped reading there.
Ditto. Though I can see that rape mini-game in Tetris Party being quite damaging.

EDIT: It's probably been said but Rockstar are still total heroes for their "We don't make games for kids, if you buy our game for your kid then you're a terrible parent" quote.

I wish we could put that everywhere in our store

I love idiots.
Theyer the only reason i get up in the morning these days.

If parents dont want theyer kids playing these games, its the parents job not to buy them.
Saying "no" to your child isnt hard. Its definitly easyer then rallying against an entire company and try to get a multi-million dollar game pulled out of production.

I don't think Fox will have any problems with Bulletstorm. After all, weren't the United States founded on the principles of Sex, Violence and Rock'n'Roll?

In the end, those who don't see a problem with Bulletstorm praise the game for being innovative another pet hate of fauxnews, thinking with your weapon instead of your gun (hey look! innuendo!).
Ha, well played.
My stance with this is the same as film; Films and games can be art, like the Stalker movie and Limbo, I enjoy these pieces of art, but at the same time, I enjoy sitting down with things like Crank and Bulletstorm and just having meaningless fun. Games are just like movies, they all have purpose, be it art, or simply fun, and this is just another one of certain Americans attempts at suppressing their beloved freedom. Adults, teens and children with a major psychological condition will always find a conduit through which they can justify their actions, be it books (Catcher in the rye) or some other medium, most commonly these days, games. If I were a parent I'd let my child play the game, hell I'd play it with them, as I'm not about to raise a child so close-minded that they can't differentiate between reality and fiction, I've played Bulletstorm myself and I'd rather not have my child play black ops for the glass in the mouth scene and its sheer destruction of historical accuracy. Not to mention substandard game-play, but that's my opinion. Its all a two-way street though, since we're free to ***** about Fox news, they're free to come up with bullshit stories.
That is, until they finally censor the world and realize there's nothing left for them to bash and they might actually have to do some reporting for once.
