Franchises you will defend forever?

Anything Bioware, Anything and I would also have to say Half-Life even if they never continue it because atleast we got 2 great games and some awesome expansions out of the deal. Plus out of Half Life came counter-strike and Portal!

It's true, they aren't at all. Gameplay varies widely across its many iterations. People think just because there's always a boomerang, it must be the same boomerang, but it's used and even controlled differently in nearly every title. People would rather judge Zelda by the common standard and dismiss it than admit its one of gaming's greatest series.

OT: Golden Sun. The first two games were the greatest RPG's I have ever played (except FFX, but the gameplay isn't similar enough to draw too many relevant comparisons). I can just imagine how orgasmifying they would have been with PS3 graphics ... well actually I can't, because I imagine they would be such great games that they would be beyond my imagination.

I can't even describe how excited I am for Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for the DS...it's why I bought the thing in the first place!

I like lots of games, but I will defend The Chrono Series, Shadow hearts Series, Shin Megami Tensei Series,Elebits Series, and a few more with my life. ( I'm a gamer, I have like lots more.

So what about you? ( Also, don't take the thread to seriously...)

Sonic the Hedgehog, Assassin's Creed, and Metal Gear. That's pretty much it.
I'm also not a fan of halo, most of the call of duty's and gears of war.

I'd have also once upon a time said mass effect, but after what they did to II... yeah, there's no defending that.

Halo has always been there for me, I even liked ODST when no one else did.
Gears of War is just fucking sweet!
Assassin's Creed- great story, fun gameplay. Easily one of my favorite game series.
Sonic- I've been there since the originals and I'm not quitting on it now.

I'd pretty much defend Bioshock, Portal, Zelda, and Metroid, no matter what. Zelda was one of my first games, I absolutely love the Prime series, Portal was an instant classic for me,and don't get me started on how much I like Bioshock.

I'll defend Shin Megami Tensei to the death. It's the one series that hasn't had a game that's bad. The storylines and setting of each game are unique, deep and dark which you don't find in many RPGs at all. The majority of those that insult the series have usually never played a game and judge on appearances only.

I'll say the same i only have one problem with the series i haven't seen any new persona games other than remakes

Actually Persona 5 is currently being developed for the PS3. So we'll have a new Persona soon.

And Atlus caters to their fans who want the remakes to be made. The remake of the first game was awesome and I'd love to see a remake of Persona 2's Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment as well.
