I have a great moment from Bad Company 2.

Friend is behind enemy lines. He's being surrounded on several sides by multiple enemies. I spawn as a Medic with a LMG beside him and he tries to make a break for it. He doesn't make it three feet from the doorway. Then over his killcam he sees three enemies waiting. Thinking that the enemy is dead, each pause for a moment to either assess what to do next or reload. All of a sudden, all three turn and look over to the door and are mowed down by machine gun fire. What my friend didn't see is my running out of the door, and blindfiring at them, killing each in seconds. The machine gun is one with 200 rounds, and I proceed to run around the enemy base, not even aiming, but instead simply holding down the trigger while everything in front of me gets shredded. My friend is now watching me via the spawn cam, and is in utter shock as he watches me literally run through the middle of the base firing my machine gun from the hip, hitting people left right and center, as some of the defenders break from behind their cover, and instead of trying to return fire, try to run from the psychotic machine gunner destroying them. All this is happening, while over the mic I start to scream such memorable phrases as 'No survivors!', 'I take NO prisoners!' and 'You're all dead! All of you are dead!'. The machine gun finally empties, only for me to switch to my pistol as I round a corner and shoot the last one in the head. In total at least 8 people died from me breaking cover and going Rambo on them. I was finally brought down when the few survivors left caught me with no ammo in any of my weapons. I went to the spawn screen to see my friend still sitting there, neglecting to have spawned, and instead chosen to have sat silently and watched. He had no idea how to react to what he just saw. I immediatly snapped back to normal and cursed the fact I had died. We still laugh about that moment.
You, sir, deserve some major kudos for a insane bout of badassery. I applaud thee.

Those rare moments when you need to get your gloves dirty, and unload a few hundred magnum bullets into a few hapless Mercs.

Good fun, untill a stray Crocket ends your spree.
Thats why god invented the dead ringer :)

That's basically what my friend does all the time. It's nice when we're playing coop because he draws all the fire while I go in and complete the mission, unless the mission is murder everyone.

There were a couple of times in Fallout 3 where I should have been a little more careful, but got bored sitting in seclusion waiting for enemies to walk around the corner. One time was right when I exited the vault and instead of going to Megaton, I went to the Springvale school instead. After running and gunning, I ran out of ammo so I pulled a lead pipe off of a guy and started beating everyone to a bloody pulp.

S.O.F. II: Double Helix, why creep around when your shotgun can take someone's leg off? Generally I like stealth, in Far Cry 2 I'd creep around, get one shot off with my sniper rifle and then run back into the bush and approach from a different angle, rinse, repeat and then close in with IEDs and your knife. I considered this time spent enjoying myself.

Another MGS person here. Specifically, MGS4. Why bother stealthing it when I can blow everyone out of their shoes, then come back and collect everything they drop?

Fallout 3 pretty much the entire level of Mothership Zeta. All started when I got my equipment back of my Minigun, Fat Man and Auto Ax.

And why the Gabe Newell gave it that 1 second delay before it can be used once fully charged.

That's pretty much my SOP for all games. I lack the patience for stealth and would rather just shoot stuff.

I was playing Team Fortress 2 on 2fort, and the enemy team was turtling like crazy and half their team was engineers, so they had sentries everywhere. I played a spy and tried desperately to sneak through their base and take out some of their security, but for a full ten minutes I did nothing but get caught and killed every single time I stepped foot in their base. I don't think I got a single kill.

Then, a Medic on my team started shouting "ZERG RUSH", so I switched to a Soldier and charged to the enemy base, expecting the rest of my team to be behind me. It turned out the aforementioned Medic was the only one behind me, but we said "to hell with it" and just charged in the front door, guns (and medigun) blazing. Within ten minutes, with no deaths, we had taken out every single sentry in their base (there were five or six of them, with two in the intel room), killed every member of their team at least once, and got the intelligence out of their basement. My health was red for almost the entire time, and so was the Medic's (I let him get all the packs).

Our epic run was cut short as we were returning to our base with the enemy intelligence; an enemy Heavy stepped out of our front door and just gunned us both down in an instant, just as we were breathing a sigh of relief and congratulating each other. Somebody else capped the intelligence in our place. So, kind of anti-climactic... but it was damn fun anyway.

I did that on the residential mission in Blood Money where you have to kill the guy having his party. You can snipe that guy from a treehouse? Screw that, I'm killing him with a nailgun.

I played ODST, trying to be stealthy and tactical as I walked through the streets of New Mombassa, sneaking around the enemies. But at one point I was stuck on a narrow street with nowhere to really hide and a small garrison of troops were coming towards me.
So naturally, I leapt out of the shadows, after literally saying: "Fuck it!" and tore through the enemies in a cloud of dizzying excitement.

In Mount & Blade: Warband I quickly decided ranged weapons are for sissies and instead opted for the heavy cavalry. Now my battles mostly play out in the way that I circle the enemy with my trample squad of 30 or so Mamelukes (essentially really heavily armored knights) and then charge headlong into the enemy lines as soon as they reach flat ground.

Mowing down crossbowmen is therapy to me.

I don't think I've ever played a Hitman game the stealthy way. The urge to go Rambo is just too great.

Most recently in Assassin's Creed 2. I take great pleasure in performing stealthy kills and getting away clean, but sometimes things just don't go as planned and the chase is on. And sometimes, I just snap, lose it, and stand my ground dropping smoke bombs and throat stabbing people until they are all gone.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Or maybe that was a dream I had. Anyway, nearly every single set-piece in the latest Splinter Cell. Maybe I'm playing it wrong, but I get one good mark & execute, then it's shotgun-and-melee happyfuntime. Makes me miss the old days when guards hated each other so much they couldn't stand to be within sight of each other.

OT: Any time I play Assassin's Creed, this is what I end up doing. I mean, seriously, the poor guards can never kill you if you don't let them, and you can insta-kill them with any of your parries.

The Fifth Amendment level in Hitman: Blood Money.
Yeah, I basically said "fuck it" and charged inside with two pistols, killing everyone, including the targets, in my way.
