Modern Warfare 2 Veteran Mode. I peek my head out for more than 2 seconds, BAM I die.
Really? I mean for me that only became I pain in the ass in Spec Ops near the end (Wetwork I hate you). I mean in the Single Player I dunno it just felt easier then I anticipated.

However High Explosive is fucking annoying. I mean honestly...you're using a massive gun, a mask with no eye-holes and yet from so far away you hit me with a headshot. No you don't. I don't have to fucking play against you. Fuck this. I'm doing the cheap door block technique with a friend.

Also. Fucking Gulag in Special Ops. I mean fuck. Thats just insane. I convinced my friend to just run it and so we did. Flash bangs and sprint to the end. I mean trying to not do it is an exercise in frustration.

The Latin American level in Modern Warfare 2

I thought the game was a cheap piece of Michael Bay Generic FPS before, and afterwards I thought much the same, only it was stupidly difficult (which is NOT the same as challenging, dear developers) and I got a headache from the aggravation
What? The Favela one? Which one...where you lose your gun and have to GET TO DA CHOPPA (okay sorry had to be done)? I loved that one. I thought the hardest single player one was where you're in the Gulag. You have enemies all around you. I just slowly advanced with a Riot Shield.

CoD4, the fucking TV Station lobby on hardest setting, "Fuck this" is the mildest thing that comes to mind about that bloody level.
I found a way to get through that room with no fuss at all...

As soon as you get there hurl a flashbang to center of the room, then run your ass off towards the door where you can stop them spawning. Throw another flashbang to the left as you go.

Then just pick off the three or four guys who spawned from the safety of the corridor.

Easy peasy!
Hmmm, what if you have no Flashbangs? I'm totally out of them.
Re-start the level. It's fairly easy up unitl that point, you won't need your flashbangs.(ignore your commander when he nags to you throw them everywhere)

The most recent example in my mind would be during Final Fantasy 13, while playing as Lightning and Hope, up against the Aster Protoflorian, or as I like the call it "the mother fucker that looks like a giant bulbasaur".

It stomped me the first battle, tried a again, did better, died, tried again, did a little better, died, "Fuck this!", ragequit.

Tried a couple hours later, did a little better than before, died, tried again, did a little better, died, 'Fuck this!", ragequit.

DELICIOUS COPYPASTA YOU MUST TASTE IT

Tried a couple hours later, did a little better than before, died, tried again, did a little better, died, "Fuck this!", ragequit.

I beat him my next try a couple hours later, but there was a lot of "Fuck this!" that day.
If you struggle with that creature, you're in for a world of hurt in the future, mines a FFXIII moment, second fight with Barthaladeus, got the **** to just 1000 hp left, and my doom counter goes to 0. FUCK THAT! I roared at the TV. I was not too keen on doing that half an hour long battle again. I did attempt it again, beating him with 400 on the clock, but I still hate that beast so much, and thank fuck summoning Edolens freezes the doom timer.

Whiplash, the closer you get to the end, the more you want to say "Fuck This".
And I did say it, one level from the end.

Mass Effect 2 Difficulty Level. I swear, anyone who beat that game on Insane is a God and must be bowed to.
Also, in advance to anyone who takes it *bow*
'Takes a bow'

I thought it was ok for the most part, but there were a couple of spikes that were just insanely tough.

The first Collector ship ambush - fucking stupid team-mate AI and lousy glitchy cover system

And of course, Horizon. But that was not too bad once you learned to kite the Husks and sprint when you heard the Scions ground pound.

I was going to do a ME2 insanity guide, but unfortunately we have no help and tips forum on the Escapist.

that really ticked me off!
I don't know why but I loved that game

What makes me rage quit is lag on any fps
It usually ends with me shouting about how i was round the corner when somebody shoots me and then smashing a controller (I have eight, five don't work)

Left 4 Dead 2 on Expert Realism - It was me and one other guy left alive, we were going down a hallway, when a there was an Incoming Attack and all 4 Specials, as well as a tank.
Fuck this basically made up our vocabulary for a good few seconds after that

Ever played a game that at some point may have made you want to hurl your controller across the room, (Wii games in which that's required don't count) turn off the system, and do something else? Times when the Witch spawns just in front of the safe room for the 3rd time in Left4Dead, most level 6 activities in Saint's Row 2, the spells you cast in FF tactics failing AGAIN while your enemy shows off their flawless arcane mastery, almost every single part of Armored Core 4, monsters patiently taking turns to chew on your face, immediately grabbing you the moment another lets go in Dead Space, etc.

My most vein-bursting experience within memory was the last stretch of uncharted 2, the part where you're running across the crumbling bridge. It took me about 30 tries over 4 occasions to finally see the other side. Most of the time, the problem was being a hair off in timing or angle with a jump and getting to watch Drake slowly pull himself up onto a platform that was no longer there by the time he did. When that DIDN'T happen, I was always (except for the very last time) sucked into the pit by an involuntary, unnatural jump from Drake. Within about a second, he'd float about a foot off the ground standing vertically, quickly turn horizontal in the same position and plummet into the abyss, looked like something out of a Grudge movie.

What irritations have you guys seen that strongly urged quitting and/or gamefaqs?
It wasn't controller tossing moment. But the video shows it.

Most recently, I have to say anywhere with Satyrs in GOW III.

Except the ones when you're destroying the judges, they were pretty easy for some reason.
But other than those, they would beat the crap out of me every time, and I know you only encounter them thrice (In the Olympus Gardens, at the Cerberus fight, and when destroying the judges soon after) but the first two times I died at least ten times before I gave up, and I gave up probably three or four times for each, eventually I got through the cerberus fight by using the Gorgon Serpent soul, but in Olympus, I got through by random buttton mashing, because I decided that combos weren't helping.

Anyway, I'd say that, or Left 4 Dead on expert, with a terrible team.
I'm a pretty patient guy, but usually after the twentieth time we die before the first stage is over, I give up.

Online gaming does this to me often. I can barely play anything other than Red Orchestra or Left 4 Dead 2 anymore.

That and the incredibly difficult Timesplitters 2 challenges. Trying to hurl a brick through 36 windows in 18 seconds.

Waaaaaah.

but you know the satisfaction that comes with finally completing that challenge is damn well worth it!

MW2 has made me say "fuck this shit" on numerous occasions....and in that situation out comes the UMP and it's super-mega insta-kills

Mirrors edge, it's a great game in the open rooftop environments, but as soon as they place puzzles or hidden ledges you are supposed to hurl yourself at the game loses it's gameplay value.
That and the fucking last level of Uncharted 2 at the bridge, who's idea was it to make the camera go in some stupid reverse you-are-being-hunted mode?
