Gintama is hilarious, I'm not sure if it's dubbed yet though. Soul Eater is pretty funny aswell, but it has a serious(ish) storyline.

Well if you want OTT ridiculous then try Excel Saga. I found if hilarious, especially the last episode, which was intentionaly made to be too violent and obscene to be publically broadcast.

Have you heard of Excel Saga?

Non-stop, over-the-top Japanese insanity at its finest! The comedy is often difficult to follow for a Westerner, but the nice people at ADV have conveniently added an optional function that makes explanatory comments appear onscreen as required.

And it's dubbed!

Although it is a bit old, I would strongly suggest Martian Successor Nadesico, Subbed or Dubbed its funny eaither way. the movie was a bit more serious the series was decently Hilarious.

Excel Saga is aok dfor laughs, but its mostly overused gags.

Bokusatsi Tenshi Dokuro-chan is pretty hilarious if you like blood and gore stuff.

and if you like hearing Spike Spencer scream, Wathc Neon Genesis Evangelion. Plenty of screaming there.

Lucky star is okay for lughs and things, but nothing major.

Puni Puni Poemi (sort-of sequel to Excel Saga, but not nearly as good. Still funny though)
Irresponsible Captain Tylor (It's funny... IN SPACE!)
Martian Successor Nadesico (not the OVA - the anime is funny, the OVA is dark and angsty)
Azumanga Daioh (The Seinfeld of anime, if Seinfeld was about little girls)
Full Metal Panic (part mecha action, part comedy)

I'm currently watching Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. It's pretty funny. It also manages to keep an perfect balance between comedy, serious plot, action and ecchiness that I've rarely seen anime do.

I'm going to recommend the English subbed version of Azumanga Daioh, because Osaka's English voice acting made my ears bleed.

That, and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan is great if you like random bouts of extreme violence played off for laughs, which I most certainly did.

I haven't actually watched Gintama, but everything I've heard, and what I have seen of it was pretty good.

Oh, and if you're into complete and utter insanity that is actually used to prove a point, but aren't interested in following a plotline, then I'd definitely recommed Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Ah I've already seen GTO, not too long ago actually! Yeah subs aren't bad, but in english it means I can still do things like play games and browse forums on the other screen and still follow it.

Yeah, it's always nice to do other stuff while you're watching. And I'm glad you watched GTO, what were your thoughts on it?

Might want to look into the English Version of Azumanga Daioh. Massively entertaining.

If you're going to watch Azumanga Daioh, watch it with English subtitles; the voice actors are HORRIBLE.

Girls Bravo is quite good if you like one of these things.
-Random Violence.
-So bad it's good jokes.
-Like half of every episode is some hot anime chick naked.
-Stupidity in its best and purest form.

"Seitokai no ichizon" is quite funny, I would also recommend that you have a good look at "Gintama" too, majority of it is side splitting stuff. Though be prepared for subs with those two shows, it just fits a lot more natural with the Japanese audio to be honest

I recently watched an anime called Ghost Stories, an anime which has had it's script switched to a commedy one for the english version. It's funny as hell.
