It was night again. Darkness had fallen over the city. The people were out on their nightly activities; parties, clubs, crime, all three. Most didn't realize that there was something else among them, stalking the shadows. Something that seemed human, but most definitely wasn't. Something that the homeless of the city had learned to fear and respect in equal measures. Something that hungered and would drain a man of blood if it felt like it.

Ernst made his way past the club, hoping to catch some prey tonight. Most vampires seem have an aura of charm, a commanding presence that can easily attract and hold sway the attention of mortals. Ernst does not. His demeanor and appearance generally inspire unease and possible outright fear due to the fact that the monster he is isn't as well hidden as other undead like to keep it. So instead he wanders the club areas, waiting to come across his prey as they leave their fun to head home, intoxicated and giddy from a night music and dancing. Lo and behold, it seemed that he would have not one course but two tonight. A pair of women were heading home, laughing and talking about their time in the club, totally oblivious to the hungry being walking not that far behind them. Ernst followed them silently for a bit, making sure not to gain the attention of the two and it seemed like it would pay off. The pair turned a corner into an alley, probably intending to take a shortcut home. They wouldn't complete the journey though, if Ernst had anything to do about it as a predatorial smile broke out across his face, made all the more creepy due to his scar.

@westerman: Sounds like we might be able to work out a meeting between the two if you're up to it. Ernst would have been in the trenches at the time for the most part.

*Lyon was out walking in a forest. She could hear other wolves howling around her. The moonlight had turned humans into werewolves. She had also taken her werewolf form, but she didn't feel the need to start howling or killing because of it. Not yet in any case. Instead she decided to sit down under a tree in the moonlight this night. She could see a fortress a long distance away. Apparently some werewolf got too close to it, because the next thing she saw was a vampire who dragged the body of one of her werewolf brothers.*

*Lyon didn't really care. It was how things worked. She sat there, looking at the fortress and the moon, wondering if something interesting would happen soon. Otherwise she would have to do something herself or go somewhere else. She had been silent so far, so nobody should have noticed her*

Vincent stepped back out of the alley in time to see what at first glance appeared to be a 6 1/2 foot ball of fur hurtling towards him. Giving into his instinct, Vincent brought the stopping power of 6 .45 calibre rounds to bear on the enormous beast which was looming over him. The beast let out a howl of pain loud enough to wake everyone within miles, if any of them had actually been asleep - the residential areas were away off, so the only people around were in the pubs and clubs. As the werewolf slumped onto the pavement, Vincent noticed it drawing several breaths, almost whimpering.
Vincent drew his Silver blade, and slowly sliced the beasts limbs off of its body, revelling in the yelps of pain the beast was emitting, all thought of feeding gone from his mind. As the werewolf's limbs lay scattered on the ground, Vincent walked back into the alleyway, leaving the beast to bleed out, knowing it would be human again before it was found. Looking up, Vincent noticed his dinner cowering behind a dumpster, obviously frightened by gunfire. Pulling together his energy, Vincent calmed the girl, and continued to walk her back to his place...

Back at Vincent's, he had discovered the name of the girl to be Jean. He was struck by the pain of his lost love, and decided to give into the temptation of mortal vice. The night passed in a blur of passion and bodily fluids, before, just as the sun was rising outside, Vincent's hunger got the best of him, and he sank his fangs sharply into Jean's neck, draining her of the blood in her veins. His hunger sated for now, Vincent took the body into the basement of his large house, where his 'waste disposal system' sat, hungrily awaiting a meal.
Chained in silver chains, in the corner of Vincent's basement was a small werewolf - Turned as only a child - kept there to dispose of the corpses that Vincent's diet left. To cut out the noise, Vincent had not-so-carefully surgically removed the beast's voice-box, leaving it relatively silent. Taking advantage of the sound-proofed basement, Vincent decided to have some fun with his pet. Un-holstering his revolver, he chambered 6 hollow-point, non-silver rounds, and fired them into the wolf, watching with relish as the ugly brute cowered and whimpered on the floor. Happy that the beast wasn't going to escape, Vincent retired to his master bedroom, checked the curtains were properly drawn, and went to bed.

@irony Vincent spent most of the war in mainland germany, around the court of the kaiser, but was in the trenches for a couple of months after the somme, preying indiscriminately on soldiers as easy meals.

saw this start yesterday right before i went to bed and tried to wake up early to post. It didn't work.

Up in the managers office, Alexander looked over the invitory, trying to decide what the store should sell next. He usually left this job to the manager, after all, it was his job and he was compotent in it, but he decided to do it every now and again, in an attempt to shirk off the anooyances of taxes and fines and in a vain effort to bring back the feeling of the good old days. Back when he was just a shopkeeper, his fellow employees trying to invite him out to a party, his manager forcing his own work onto Alex, the ower chewing out the manager for doing that, his sister constantly asking him why he chose that job...

Out in the shop proper, he heard voices. Usually this wouldn't upset him and indeed, this time it didn't, there were many times where he had to deal with a loud customer, usually having to help them find a book, so he ignored the voices and went back to his work. Alas, it wasn't just normal voices outside and a minute later he heard the shopkeeper knock upon the door.

"Sir? There's people here to see you...", She said, a hint of fear in her voice. That tipped him off as to it not being a normal customer. He first contemplated it being vampires but he quickly dismissed the thought, It was more likely to be someone from the court, after all, he had made sure they could find out where he was from there, or maybe even just an angry customer creating a roe in the shop. These seemed more likely but he didn't know what was more preferable, he may have even prefered the vampires instead, at least he could rip out their throats and be in the moral right in the matter if they pissed him off.

He opened the door and looked down off the balcony to see two of his "brethern", though how much they were his brethern depended on whether or not they were angering him at the moment.

"It's okay, molly, i've got this. go back to working the counter and tell Evan to finish looking over the cataloges when he gets back. I highly suspect that i shall be going somewhere in a minute." he said to the worried girl, sending her back downstairs. As much as he hated to admit it he was rather amused by his employees, they all thought that he was involved with the mob or some shady organization like that, which, he figured, was not that far from the truth. He walked down the stairs and approached the two men.

"Gentlemen, before we discuss matters at hand, can i request that we move this to my office?"

"Can't.", said one of them.

"It's urgent buisness. K-", the other started before being elbowed by his companion.

"Frederick, company.", he said, pointing to molly.

Frederick looked at her, giving her a close inspection, before turning back to Alex and saying, "William has requested a meeting with you.", emphasising william.

"Well, if it's so urgent then we can talk on the way." Alexander said to them before turning to his employee and saying, "I'll be going. Remember what i said and make sure to lock up the store soon."

Then they headed out and along the way frederick and co. updated Alexander on the situation.

"It seems that one of our brethern was killed by the vampire queen and worse yet, they're know showcasing his body in front of their fortress like a fucking trophy." He said, spitting venom at the vampires. "Personally, i think we should return the favor but william is calling a meeting to talk about this. It ain't right..." He went on, but Alex couldn't be bothered to listen to him.

Personally, he didn't give a crap, he already had all of the motivation he needed. He was like a loaded gun and he knew that william knew that. He could also be sure that william would try to point him in the most effective direction, whether or not that ment he would get the chance to kill vampires or not. Thing about loaded guns though, you never know when they will go off.

I have no idea if a loaded gun can go off at any time, Alex thinks that they can though.

Curtis was sound asleep, when a court messenger pounded on his door. "What the fuck is it?" He snarled as he opened the door. "I was asleep." The messenger, who looked like a kid barely in his teens, cowered slightly at Curtis' size and the fact that he was naked. "Umm...the king has called a meeting, right now" the boy stammered.

"Fine, I'll get dressed" Curtis said, as he went back into his bedroom, his voice softening. Well this can't be good he thought as he pulled on his pants and jacket. "Say, do you know way he called a meeting?" The boys voice got a little colder as he answered, "That queen ***** of the fangs killed a brother, and strung him up like a trophy!"

He stopped cold when he heard what?d happened, transforming slightly as the anger rippled through him. "Well then I have no time to waste." Placing his hand on the boy?s shoulder he said, "Can I trust you to lock up for me, little brother?" The boy nodded solemnly "Yes, tear those fang faces to shreds!" "I will." With that Curtis dashed across his apartment and leapt out of the window, landing on a roof top one floor below, before dashing off at a full sprint towards the lycan court.

Sorry for the delay, just got online

Ernst rounded the corner and began moving in on the two women. They still seemed too engrossed by their conversation to notice their death moving in. The smile on the vampire continued to widen and his fangs became visible. It was only when he was within arm's reach of the two women that they seemed to notice him looking over their shoulders. The sight that met them shot instant fear into their minds, all thoughts of their enjoyable evening lost in immediately. They started to scream out, but this was not Ernst's first kill. He knew how to make sure nobody noticed their disappearance until too late.

---Later that night---
Ernst walked up to the doorstep of the apartment building he lived at, flush with his taste the night's treats. He had quickly silenced the two unfortunates and drained them of blood. It wasn't his best feast ever, too quick and easy, but it was satisfying. He had stuff their lifeless bodies in a nearby dumpster so that it would be harder to find their corpses when they were inevitably missed. As he moved into the building and went past his mailbox he heard the landlord call meekly to him.

"Ummm, uh Herr Schulz? Not to uh, not to bother you or anything, but ummm..." the chubby man stammered out before thrusting a hand out which held a letter in it. "A letter arrived for you earlier today."

Ernst glared at the man, then down to the letter in his hand, that back to the landlord. He moved over which made the man flinch before swiping the mail out of his hand and without a second glance, turned around and walked up the stairs to his flat. Upon reaching it, he unlocked the several locks he had on the door and closed himself inside. He didn't know who would send him a letter, but if someone had actually sent him something he didn't want anybody else to know what it was about.

William was pacing by now walking to one end of the room and immediately turning around walking to the other end.He was finding it difficult to keep his temper at bay.
"Where the fuck are my warriors!"He shouted and immediately the door opened to reveal his advisor.
"King we have sent messengers to all corners of the city we are but waiting for them to show."
"Thank you brother."
"You're welcome King Blackhide."
"How many times have I told you not to call me that ridiculous nickname?"He said as he resumed his pacing.
"But King that's the name that the vampire scum fear you by."
He ignored the comment."Have fresh food and drink prepared for the warriors when they arrive I know how restless they can be when they're hungry."
"Yes King."
William finally sat down in his chair again staring at the door waiting for his warriors to finally arrive.

Alexander aproached William's stronghold in a rushed annoyance. The two messangers made travel a living hell with there incesant chattering and it had worn away alex's welcoming stage act and forced him into his normal demeanor, a blessing in disguise to be sure but also causing him unneeded suffering, partly due to them discussing about how they hate vampires. Sure, he hated vampires as much as the next werewolf (maybe more) but to talk about it in a way that basically boiled down to, "I hate vampires." "I hate them too.", it was just maddening!

Anyways he walked in and was approached by william's guards.

"Yes, yes, the king wishes to speak with me, i bloody well know...well, what are you waiting for? A big invitation, marked in red and bolded? Lead on!"

The guards looked at each other before the taller one looked at him and said, "It would do well for you to not to insult us. At least we havn't angered King blackhide by keeping him waiting.", before looking menacingly at alexander.

"Keeping him waiting? What, like your doing now? Prating on about how your feelings are hurt and holding me up? Come on, move. Best to not keep old kingy waiting.", alex said. He didn't have a huge amount of respect for the king but he did have enough to qualify William for the person he most respected outside of his genepool which said alot.

The guard growled a bit, angered at his mockery of the king, but the asshole had a point, they were holding him up, and they'd rather not keep the king waiting, they at least had respect for him unlike a certain prick so they led him onwards. (note: outside perspective)

They arrived at a door and one of the guards knocked before he walked in. Alexander used the time to cool down, first was because he was meeting with his leader and it wasn't a good decision to anger him with mockery and second, William hadn't done anything to earn it so there was no reason to aim any anger at him. He heard the guard announce that he was here, prat on for a few seconds and finally open the door.

Alexander came in and saw William sitting down on his, what some would consider a throne but alex wasn't an idiot like them, chair and promptly said to him, "Greetings, king. To what do i owe the pleasure?", before taking a seat anywhere he could find.

should i PM impulse about the rp? I'm under the impression that he's not aware that it's started.

Vincent woke up at 22.30, feeling refreshed, and went to his kitchen to pour himself a whisky.
"ah", he said softly to himself, "What a way to start the day". Wandering back into the hallway, Vincent noticed the letter he had recieved the day before. Picking it up, and taking it to his study, Vincent was filled with apprehension.
On the way to his study, he poured himself another Whisky - A Laphroaig - enjoying the peaty smell as he did. Sitting in his velvet armchair, Vincent reclined, and read the letter:

Dear Mr V. Levine

You are hereby invited to attend the court of Queen Melianara - Elder and Ruler of all vampires. The court will begin promptly at midnight on 21st December, with the primary goal of discussing what we are to do about the growing Werewolf threat
- Vincent thought of his pet chained in the basement, and laughed at the idea of all such beasts being considered threats - which gathers around our lands even as you read this letter. You are not required to bring anything - all sustenance and accommodation are to be provided by the good lady herself. Do not disappoint us, Vincent.

The letter was unsigned, but handwritten, though Vincent did not recognise the writing style. Resigned to the fact he'd have to go, Vincent thought for a moment. His pet would not last without provided sustenance, and Vincent assumed that whilst Melianara was to provide sustenence for any vampires invited, it was unlikely that she would stock any fine Spirits or wines. this in mind, Vincent packed a small suitcase with Laphroaig whisky, some French reserve chablis, and a bottle of Moet champagne, along with several suits, and plenty of spare ammo, both silver and otherwise. With this task complete, Vincent went down to his basement with his revolver, loaded it with non-silver bullets, and fired each one into the beast's head, enjoying its reaction to the sudden pain, and leaving it to presumably die of hunger whilst he was away. Happy that his affairs were now in order, Vincent picked up his ring, watch, and still-bulging wallet, and set out to the fortress of the Vampire Queen.

Curtis moved swiftly across the roof tops of the city, in a form halfway between human, and full lycan. About a block from the court, he dropped to street level, resuming a full human appearance. As he approached an alley, he caught the unmistakable scent of a vampire. Shit, this is FAR too close to the court. Why hasn't th... His thoughts were interrupted, as the vampire stepped in front grinning. "Hey fur ball, going somewhere?"

Smells like a freshly turned one, total arrogance because of her new abilities. Curtis thought studying his opponent, as the vampire readied to fight, No fight training. The vampire, who was only about 5'8" and 160 lbs at most showed none caution that an older one would, believing she was totally invincible.

Curtis attacked, without transforming, raining dinner plate sized fists down on his opponent, while she tried vainly to ward off the blows. He kept this up for a moment, before unleashing a vicious knee strike to her side. The vampire, so intent on defending herself from the punches, never saw it coming. The knee hit with a sickening crunch as it broke ribs, and compressed a lung, cutting off the vampire?s scream of pain. Moving swiftly as her guard dropped, Curtis transformed, grasping her about the head and neck in his massive hands, and in one motion tore her head off.

Minutes later he brushed through the doors of the meeting room, still in werewolf form and splattered in vampire blood. "I apologize for the delay Sire, I was...delayed, also I have troubling news. This..." He said, indicating to the blood. "Happened less than a block from here." Returning to human form he sat in a near by chair.

Go for it Figment.

As Ernst read through the letter he had received, he couldn't help but scoff a bit at the flowery language and mentions of "Queens". Sure he respected the older vampires for their power, but he couldn't give two rat's asses about titles and nobility. Still it looked like this Melianara was looking for vampires to go out werewolf hunting. Ernst hadn't run into many before, but he was eager to fight against them for the challenge they would pose. So he might as well head out and see what this "Queen" was thinking of.

It was getting close to day though and soon he would be unable to easily travel outside. Now was as good a time as any to get some rest, so Ernst retired to his bedroom and collapsed messily onto the bed. Upon awaking early on the next night, Ernst changed into his "nicer" clothes and headed out, locking his door securely behind him. He left the apartment building and headed off to the train station, knowing that it would take some time to arrive near the "Queen's" fortress and currently the train was his fastest way to get there. The train that he got on was rather empty, it being rather late at night, so Ernst had plenty of space to relax, the few other passenger's in his car staying well away from the intimidating man.

After some time spent riding the train, listening to Rammstein on an mp3 player, Ernst reached the train station nearest to his destination. He finally got off and looked around, figuring out how he would be able to get to the fortress as quickly as possible.

Catherine looked on as the werewolf killed the newly turned vampire. She was lounging on the roof, planting the unfortunate girl there to hide her own scent and to evaluate some of the wolves. This one seemed relatively old by the way he crushed the girl. She waited until he left, then jumped off the roof, landing gracefully next to the body. "I'm sorry Priscilla, I should have warned you about how testy werewolves are." she laughed and picked the pieces up, intending to use them for her own ends.

It was late in the night when she finally got into vampire territory. Still, it wouldn't have surprised her to find werewolves here. The younger ones would be restless and arrogant and aggressive. They would take all this personally and take it upon themselves to extract their clan's vengeance. Then the younger vampires would immediately try and retaliate. Maybe this is why I hardly see members of either race under 20. The young ones are all idiots.

As she got closer she realized that the vampire territory was uncomfortably close to an infamous werewolf den. Why the hell would Melianara set up shop this close to a den? Or maybe it's the other way around... The sharp smell of werewolf blood snapped her out of her thoughts. Oh come on... must you leave this trash right in front of the door? She stepped over the body gingerly, taking a moment to lament the loss of such a fine specimen, and continued further into the fortress. The guards directed her to a large room with several chairs. Catherine dropped the head and body of the vampire on the floor and waited for the others to arrive.

Hopefully our dear Queen isn't so frigid today~

Arriving at the fortress of the vampire queen, Vincent saw the decoration which Melianara had left so tastefully by the door - the corpse of a Werewolf, killed recently, was perched against the door, in a supposed 'testament' to the power of the vampire queen. Revelling for a minute in the sight of the dead wolf, Vincent straightened his suit, and walked into the fortress. Vincent was directed by the queen's guards into a spacious room filled with surprisingly basic furniture - this visit was not going to be as luxurious as Vincent had imagined. Noticing the black-haired, 20-something-looking vampiress sat with a pout, and a corpse, he turned back to the guard, and asked for two glasses for a drink.
Sitting down next to the female vampire, Vincent noticed the guard returning with glasses, scowling at being treated like a mere servant. Taking the glasses, Vincent turned to the vampiress, and introduced himself.
"Vincent, Pleased to meet you", he said, "can I interest you in a glass of wine?" As he said this, he withdrew one of his bottles of Chablis, and poured two glasses, taking a sip of his own. Now feeling somewhat calmer about this mysterious summons, he relaxed back into his seat. "Whats with the dead girl, anyways?" He inquired of his new-found company.

"Catherine de Leon~" the vampiress purred in reply, glad to finally have live (or undead) company. She took the glass, her fingers lingering for a few seconds on Vincent's as she did. The glass found its way to Catherine's lips and she sipped a little, smirking at the thought of a vampire traveling with a couple bottles of wine.

"This..." she motioned lazily to the decapitated head next to her, "...is the body of Priscilla White. She wasn't more than 25, turned in the last few months. She served to... evaluate the kind of werewolves that are being called to the nearby den. It looks like our lovely Queen's little display out front has provoked them into organizing for once. The wolf that killed this one was experienced, not a fresh fledgling to be sure." She took another sip of the wine. "I just wanted to show everyone what we're up against."

Her eyes roved slowly over Vincent. It had been a few weeks since she last bedded a vampire, and even then it had been a female one. Maybe tonight will be my lucky night~ she smiled politely, wishing that this meeting would be over soon.

Tim rolled over and woke with a choked shout of alarm. He had been dreaming of his death again. As he lay blinking in the gloom of the room his hand touhed something sticky and slightly damp. Looking to his side he sighed. The body of a young woman lay beside him, her throat torn out. Tim let out a deep breath as he remembered the night before, a gig at a local rock bar, the girl had been following him all night. Something to do with being...... different. Tim thought. The girl had dragged him back to hers where he had killed her, easily, drinking deep on her life esence.

Tim climbed from the bed, he used the girls shower to clean himself, dressing he paused by a bed side cabinet, a hand full of polaroids and a camera sat there, memories from the night before, naughty memories. A sad smile broke across his face. He pocketed them. As he left Tim absent mindly turned on all of the valves of the gas cooker, beginin a flood of the building. He placed a cup of water with wire wool submerged into the microwave turning setting the timer he closed the door. It was early evening outside. As Tim walked across town to his flat he heard the thump of detonation as his cleansing of the girls flat occured.

But I'll be dropping out of this. Thankfully I didn't post anything, oh well, carry on though.
