This is great news. Hard to believe that FOX would do something like this, but so very wonderful.

Yeah I have to say that the show didn't really seem to work in a feature length movie format.[Gavo said:]Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, YES!
No more damn DVD's. Just bring the show back.
They did it with Family Guy after it generated so much buzz on Adult Swim. I'd say that was a pretty lucrative (re)investment on their part.Shadow Law said:Oh my! I do believe hell has just frozen over if "FOX" is planning on bringing back a good show like Futurama. If they look at Firefly next that would be the second coming of Christ.
I'll agree that Benders Game wasn't that great, but have you seen the most recent one, Into the Wild Green Yonder? It's easially the best one so far, and that's saying something (The Beast with a Billion Backs was genius).zeldakong64 said:An amazing show indeed. But I wonder if they should? Better to have it die while still strong than to have it linger and become painful like the Simpsons. Look at Bender's Game...do we really want that to happen again?
Family guy was actually cancelled twice. It's the only show to ever come back from the dead twiceMelancholy_Ocelot said:They did it with Family Guy after it generated so much buzz on Adult Swim. Simpsons Had at least 9 great seasons and even the newer stuff is better than average. If we get just two or three more AAA Futurama seasons then I don't care if it turns into another cashcow on life support. Of course, seeing what they did with the Futurama DVD movies my faith in their writing staff is shaken.nova18 said:This might go terribly wrong if they exploit Futurama the same way that they did with Simpsons.
Whilst Futurama is a brilliant show, by Season 12 it will the same crap we're used to seeing from Groening. By then Simpsons will be on its 50th Series, South Park will have retired, Family Guy and American Dad will have hit 2000 episodes and a million other animated shows will rise up to destroy us all.
Just something for you to think about.
