Name: Valiro Zanthor
Alias: Bones
Appearance: Valiro is a 6 foot 5 inch humanoid with shoulder-length black hair and deep black eyes, Valiro is a muscular, lean being, the most noticeable aspect of Valiro's body is that he has in essence, two skeletons, the second being an exo-skeleton composed of black, sharp, twisting bones that perfectly mimic the bones inside his body, all along his body the bones are connected to the inner skeleton through the flesh, the bone structure only outlines his face however. Some of the bones around his shoulders and chest seem to intertwine, forming very thick bone plates. The Exo-Skeleton is extremely hard and durable.
The exo-skeleton not only being unsightly for some but making it near impossible to wear regular armour means that Valiro requires a special suit that is able to comfortably fit around the exo-skeleton, yet leaves the arms free. The plain black suit with silver pads is quite basic, providing protection in areas of flesh without Exo-bones but being flexible enough to accomodate the second skeleton. The chest pad carries just one symbol:
Personality: Valiro is quiet and reserved, he tends to shy from conversation unless necessary or interesting to him, to those that he befriends or gets to know, he is more open, while lacking a sense of humour, Valiro can be pleasant, reliable and incredibly determined. The reason for Valiro's emotional restraint is due to his exo-skeleton, if he happens to become angry and lose his temper or emotionally unstable, his exo-skeleton sort of mutates and grows, shooting out dozens of razor-sharp bones from his back and arms from within, causing extreme agony, luckily, this mutation is only temporary.
Weapons Expertise: Power Weapons - Sword, Ranged Weapons - Plasma Rifle
God: Delmond (Formerly)
Weaknesses: Taibaskans are unable to use shock crystal weapons due to the crystalline structures in their exo-skeletons, causing hideously painful mutations upon contact with a shock crystal. Due to Valiro's exo-skeleton it is fairly awkward for him to use large ordanance weapons or pistols, luckily rifles are suitable. Valiro's mutated form of soul magic is incredibly difficult for him to control in large amounts, therefore limiting his starting effectiveness with magic as opposed to other magic users.
Likes: Valiro enjoys reading about the histories of the galaxy and about other cultures, as he is keen to shake off the highly racist and hateful teachings of his people. Valiro also enjoys visiting other planets and exploring them. As well as meditating and sampling various Relli dishes.
Backstory/race: Valiro comes from a distant and relatively unknown planet called Taibask, the Taibaskans are an unusual race, as with age the Exo-skeletons that develops from each and every one of them begins to change. The Taibaskans do not have a typical age cycle like most other races, as their Exo-skeletons are reflective of their age, gender and ability. Unfortunately there is little data available on their age cycles and bone forms. What is known is that the Taibaskans specialise in soul magic primarily, the culture of Taibask revolves around the use of magic, it is believed that the Taibaskans have a natural affinity for soul magic because of their exo-skeletons acting as powerful conductors of magic. It is believed at a certain stage that the bones form together to form a natural armour.
Unfortunately the Taibaskans are something of a savage race, frequent clan wars break out, resulting in many deaths on a regular basis, Taibaskans raise their children to be strong and fit to fight, many attempt to enhance their newer generations' abilities by exposing them to dangerous numbers of parasites, none have ever survived the process.
Except for Valiro, the process accelerated his exo-growth and made him immensly strong with soul magic, revered as a young prodigy by the clans, Valiro was taken to be trained and become the perfect Taibaskan warrior, destined to lead them to dominate all other nearby races. The Taibaskans praised Delmond and reveled in the prophesised slaughter of millions.
Valiro greatly resented what his own people did to him, turning to loathe himself and his people for turning him into a freak. Valiro fled his home planet and joined the U.G.F., desperately seeking a new life. Taibaskans are rarely seen off their home planet, making Valiro stand-out quite often. The U.G.F accepted Valiro, seeing his potential as a medic/soul caster with his magical abilities and a valuable fighter due to his warrior bloodlines, and put him on a training course in order to teach him how to control and apply his soul magic properly.
