G4 has officialy set our proof of maturity quest back entirely

Who cares? How does it set us back? Who will think we are immature? The people who don't play or give a fuck about games? Who gives a fuck what they think? I think we need to stop thinking a single game or show or anything can set us back. This quest for maturity is not a personal quest, nor is this whole games as art thing, its seeking acceptance from the people that ridicule games. It's wanting people who don't play games to hold them to the same standard as movies. If you want games to grow up fine, but you shouldn't be hoping everyone else sees games as grown up. One day a person that sees games as playthings will look around and realize the entire world is playing them.

Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I know. It's just that G4 still pretends it is a channel for gamers and nerds. The problem is that they're pandering to the worst stereotype of gamers and nerds and anyone who is not already a part of this culture will look at it as kid and moron exclusive. I think they're giving the game ridiculers ammo with this crap. They're advertising themselves as a channel for us, yet it seems that they constantly make fun of us at every turn, and not in a funny way. It's just kind of insulting. And the people who ridicule games now have this as ammunition. It angers me, it really does.

Come on, people stopped caring about G4 when they canceled Arena/ canceled Cheat/ made X-Play more serious/ fired Olivia Munn.

I stopped caring a week after they took over TechTV. They moved Screensavers to Canada and cancelled Unscrewed.

First of all, the video doesn't work. Also, I'm going to assume this is just another piece of crappy television. Why should any of us care? Just like FOX News, the only people that DO care are a small number of the people of the USA, and overly nervous gamers that believe everyone is out to destroy their medium.

Such a small % of people actually care about what these people say or do negatively about the gaming medium. I can't find a single reason for me to care, but I guess that's because when it comes to games my government are actually relatively sensible... Apparently some other countries are not so lucky, primarily due to fear mongering media and the widespread popularity of ignorance.

How was that satire? It was obviously an attack on gamers image. Possibly even an indirect way to draw games back into a dark age.
