"I don't know who did this, but I want to find out. I'm sure we all have ideas as to who to accuse so my question to everyone is this. Are we going to remain calm and try to get out of here, or will we turn to total anarchy and start killing, and lynching whoever the fuck we think is the murderer?" Michael asked in a loud voice trying to turn everyone's attention from the body.

Chris stood outside the mess hall. He didn't know whether to re-enter or just stay outside.
"My stomach can take one more for the team." He muttered to himself, and he walked back in.
"So, what have we decided? Are we gonna figure out who, or what, did this? Or are we going to find a way out of here?" He looked down at his feet. He didn't want to look at Hellspawn again.

Ivan was still rather pale, the look in his eyes one of terror and distractedness. He went into the store room, picked out a large bag and after returning, used it to cover the body. "There" he began. "Now nobody has to look at him any longer". He shook his head, the video of something horrible playing over and over inside his own mind.

"Only thing certain is that this wasn't done by a professional. Cuts are all different, no repeating pattern. Amateurish. Symbols cut into his body... I don't know what they are. Used a standard knife, most likely." Ivan said. "I, and if possible Tsurugi, could do a post-mortem examination, captain. However, it is unlikely to find anything."

He sat down on a bench, the inner turmoil of his mind receding, then stopping. He was back in reality, the memories of something truly depressing once again erased for the time being.

"There is no point in wasting time to do an examination, unless you can check for finger prints on the the face wounds. The best chance we have to identify the killer without causing total anarchy is to try and see if there are fingerprints on the face wounds. We know how we died, we need to know who killed him though." Michael replied to Ivan.

Hearing the request for from the captain, Shanks turned to Jimmy and remarked flippantly "Yeah and I bet Captain Ahab over there happens to always carry his own fingerprint kit, just in case." he couldn't gauge the cooks response.

Reaching a rare moment of lucidity, a terrifying thought occurred to the reporter and he turned back and in a hushed tone uttered, "Jimmy, you don't think the same person who killed him might have... sabotaged Chris' helicopter too? And if they did... maybe the boat didn't malfunction, but..." the suggestion was too frightening to finish vocalizing.

Broken from his contemplation he considered breaking the tension by telling the Captain his suspicions. No. No he started this he can cop what's coming to him. Grinning wryly at the floor, swigging from the flask refilled from Jim's leftover bottle, Shanks felt a sudden detachment. A sudden lack of care come over him, like he was watching what was about to happen from far away.

"Y'know what, captain, maybe, maybe I do have some suggestions, sure you wanna here 'em? They're better than 'Lets use some equipment we don't have to pin my own mistakes on someone else'. So you sure you wanna, captain?. Too late, I've started," getting to his feet, lifting one knee and placing his foot on the seat, he gestured out to the whole room. "Maybe you could start by working out why there was only one man on watch last night, or where everyone was when this happened, and who has alibis. Thats what any competent captain would be doing."

Pointing directly at the man with the unscrewed flask he continued, "Maybe, captain, we could work out why are you sho desperate to know the 'Who' and not the 'Why', hmm? As far ash I know, people don't get their fashes cut up for no reashon, it tends to meshs with your shocial life, but maybe, captain, you don't need to ask for the why, because you already know, don't you?" he was sure he'd struck gold, and pressed home his point, slurring more and more as he went on, "What ihs on this boat captain? Shomething beshides the AI? I'm sure your truhsting crew would be very interested if you had put there lives in danger for profit, eh?" It was at this point that he toppled over.

From the floor, he concluded, "Enough suggestions for you," hic, "captain?" and then passed out.

"Wow. So a drunk is accusing me of being the murderer. Since he can't hear this I will reply my answers to his questions to all of you. I don't know why there was only one man on watch last night. Probably a bet he lost or something. And why I'm asking who instead of why is because right now, who gives a shit why? All we know is that the ship has most likely been sabotaged, and two men have been murdered so right now I personally think it would be better to know maybe who the murderer is, and then ask him why. And as to whats on this boat other than the AI we are testing, the right man to ask would be Galt seeing as he is the one who funded and designed this voyage not me." Fucking drunk doesn't know what the hell he is talking about "Now someone take this liability's drunk ass out of here."
And right there Michael realized there wasn't going to be anyway of this happening calmly. This is all going to turn into total chaos. Total anarchy. Every man for himself. And before long people would start making alliances, and more would die. Some from the murderer and some from not trusting each other. There was no safe way of just figuring out who caused this. The shit has finally hit the fan. Fucking drunks.

Jimmy listened to Shanks question curiously, he did make a very good point. Something was defiantly awry, a sabotaged helicopter, a drugged helmsmen, and now a hideous murder. Yet there didn't seem to be any clues; none at all. He looked from face to face of all those gathered in the room. Jim, Chris, Tsurugi, Chaz, Karl, Ivan, Michael, Celd, O'reilly. All of them were possible suspects. The thought was overwhelming and Jimmy had to shake his head to clear it.

'this is just insane.' Thought Jimmy to himself as he watched the well sauced Shanks and Michael verbally attack each other; before Shanks promptly collapsed on the ground. He couldn't leave Shanks there like that, he made his way over to him. "I'm sorry Captain." He muttered as he approached Shanks. "Can some one give me a hand getting him to the infirmary before he does anymore damage too himself?" Jimmy then called to the room as he positioned himself at Shanks head, diligently taking the bottle off him; he may need the small remnants of it for himself later at this rate. "Listen Captain." He then said under his breath so that only Michael could hear, its evident that something is wrong here, drastically wrong. Maybe you should interview all the crew individually; probably with Galt, try to get a feel for whats going on." He knew he had no authority to give out commands like that, but something had to be done, and fast; our this would probably descend into a bloody brawl. And with that he tried to lift Shanks by himself, hoping that some one would soon come to aid him in the arduous task.

Err... He was not asking for help lifting the body of Sgt.Hellspawn. He was asking for help carrying Shanks (a living crew member) to the med bay.

Killion's reaction to the scene in the mess hall was complex; his breathing grew deeper and faster, creating a rasping sound, he withdrew from the group a bit, and his teeth began to chatter. He recovered a bit after the first bout of vomiting.

When Ivan covered the body, Killion seemed to regain his thought processes a bit. He began to speak, and his voice rising to a whiny pitch at the end.

"When it was just the boat, I could take it. But being trapped on the same boat as this kind of lunatic...? Fuck. He was army. Our fucking security."

Killion lifted his head to stare at the dirty ceiling above, he seemed to be gathering himself again.

"I'm staying out of this. I don't know who killed the poor bastard, and I won't risk poking my nose into this any further and risking my corpse being added to the pile. I don't know about you guys, but I intend to live through this. Maybe this was an..."

Killion glances at the covered corpse and grimaces.

"Isolated incident."

Chris looked at Killion. "Yeah, maybe it was a one time thing. Let's just give this guy a proper burial and hope it all blows over."
The more he thought about it, the less he believed this was a one time thing. There was clearly some sort of psychopath on this ship, and psychopaths don't stop at one kill.
"Jim, do you think you'd be able to set up that radio now? If this happens again, we need some way to get off this boat. The way thing have been going, the only way off is with someone's help."

"I doubt the radio will work. If someone is trying to murder us all then they would make sure to kill all chances of radio contact. And how will we bury him...?"

Jim stepped back up from his seat on the cold floor of the ship.
"I could go check if the radio is working?" Jim said, pointing to the door behind him. Then he went to do just that.
Man, thatKillionguy really creeps me out, could it have been him that killed Hellspawn?
My vote is for Killion

Thinking about all the crew it seemed as the only member was never around Michael. That was Killion. When he called everyone when he found the Pilot Killion never showed up. He also was always hiding and working on some AI project of his. Maybe he tested it and that is why the ship crashed If it came down to it though Michael knew that the first person he would accuse would be Killion.

My vote is for Killion also. No offense to you but at the moment you are who I suspect.
