The Ending of GoW3

The whole "you had it inside you all along reeks of 90s kiddies show, and was such an unfitting end for such a badass character like kratos. It all went very emo at the end too

Um no, you're doin it rong.

You were suppose to reject the Sarcophogus and leave it to the Prince, remember what the Werewolf said? That was a fantastic ending for me, because I actually paid attention and so I got Jack being awesome and me being alive.

What's actually bad is the Ming Zao ending, where they congratulate you on being awesome, then decide you're too awesome, and tie you to the sarcophagus and throw you into the sea.
I know! I became greedy and I was curious as hell. Got what I deserved for it though. :<

When Imran shot Gaz in COD4, i was on verge of crying. Gaz was such a massive badass in everyway, his Chuck Norris-esque beard should´ve reflected the bullet.
Yeah, that was a friggin unexpected bummer, though MW2 was waaaaay worse.

Those 15 hours were full of epic Viking action!

I fucking love that game.
So do I, it's tons of fun. It's just that the final boss fight and the ending were so miserably awful I literally jumped out of my armchair and yelled at the screen.
I hated the fight against Hel, Though the last siege felt very Black Gates of Mordor like...which was just epic.

Caldberg was the best though, The Multilayered fortress is so fun to attack, and Dragon Artillery is always a good thing.
And again, full agreement. I loved all the epic fortress missions, but Caldberg was the best.

I even liked the ascent up Hel's tower, it was a good build-up... but the battle against Hel itself was so horribly anticlimactic and generic it made me want to scream and cry. And the ending made me think, "What?! Did I just play a game about Vikings or about Native Americans?!"

uh....

well...

hrm...

Most of the time the plots I've played are pretty predictable.

Its not a vidya gaem but Neon Genesis Evangellion screwed me up pretty hard core.

I was waaay too young to watch it.

Agreed, The ending for Spartan Total Warrior wasn't all that good either (made by the some company). There is a rumor that they are making a similar game about the Crusades, which should be interesting.

I want to play Viking again now..
Never played Spartan Total Warrior, to be honest. I'll be keeping an eye on that Crusades game, though, especially now that my love for medieval swordfighting has been stoked by watching the new Robin Hood last night.

I'm kind of in the mood for Viking now, too, but I just made a reservation for Alan Wake with my rental store half an hour ago. Should be interesting...

Fuck, I really want to see Robin Hood, Been hyped ever since I saw the trailer when going to see Clash Of The Titans.

You should play Mount and Blade during the wait, Warband mainly. After playing so much of the original and mods, Warband feels like an entirely new game for an expansion.
I actually went to see Robin Hood purely out of morbid curiosity. The trailers looked so... so... NOT Robin Hood, I just had to know if there was more to it than Gladiator in green tights. The movie has since become my prime example for misleading advertisement, because it does have all the things that are essential to Robin Hood (even while taking the story in a new direction, like a prequel of sorts) without giving any hints as to this in the trailers.

What exactly is Mount and Blade? Never heard of it.

Fable 2.
When lucien kills your dog when trying to kill you, i hated that cause i loved my little doggy... what pissed me off is how it was just a cheap plot trick, as all that happened was Lucien reloaded and shot you anyway. Making the dogs sacrifice redundant. Oh and he says that he butchered your family. I laughed at that, i kill them in boredom anyway even on my good character.
Seriously, It was just a cheap ploy to make the decision at the end. But at least you got the choice to get what was lost back... And make many new families.

Yay i get to choose between money, people or my dog... MY DOG!!!!
Wait so that fight on the beach was a boss fight...
I hate you peter molyneux

For me it was the ending to Metal Gear Solid 2. It was a great game but even though you play the others, it still felt like a bat@#$% crazy ending and felt like it was just thrown in there cause they couldn't end it properly.

I've never truly felt "screwed over" by a game ending, although the conclusion cutscene of C&C 3 - Kane's Wrath was pretty 'meh', and the animation at the end of Dragon Age: Awakening left me feeling pretty flat.

I suppose it made sense in a "we're done here" way, but still...
