Had Batman dragged Joker's carcass by the cloth of his collar out of the building as opposed to carrying him lovingly in his arms, I would have thought far better of it. He's a murderous, remorseless psychopath who does not deserve the reverence he receives. He's exceedingly well characterized by both the writing and the acting, certainly, but his death is not a tragedy; it is a blessing.
I felt it was representative of the Joker's theory that they need one another. There's certainly a sense of weariness and 'knowing' (as in, he was closest to him of all the villains) in their final conversation, specifically when Batman says "You know what's funny?". I guess it also shows him to be a bigger Boss-Man. Dragging him by the neck is what the Joker would do if it were the other way around.

I finished it this afternoon and really liked it.

At the very least, you have to give credit for them writing a somewhat bold story; Asylum's was just standard-fare.

OT: A lot will probably complain about Human Revolution's ending and, whilst it was certainly inelegant, most people will be missing the point.

We know what eventually happens - what matters is your choice, because your choice is you giving your final verdict on the debate that's been put in front of you for the past 30-40 hours worth of game. Whether Eliza and Adam's predictions come true or not is entirely irrelevant.

Most recently for me would probably be Dragon Age 2. L to the A to the Z to the Y sequel-bait. Not to mention...

... Leilana appearing and saying there must be a connection between my Warden and Hawke both disappearing. Slight problem: MY WARDEN DIED, DIP SHIT.

Borderlands. Really, what the fuck. A stupid twist and no reward.

Mass Effect 2. Suicide mission was great, but the final boss battle was random and shitty. It was sort of a mediocre ending to a great game.

Bioshock. The game just got worse and worse after 2/3 of the way in, and led to a super shitty ending and boss battle that just broke the feel of the entire game. And if you had harvested just ONE little sister, you got the evil ending.

Resistance 2. It was an okay game. It didn't compare to the first one. The ending made and okay game a lame game.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Sloppier than the last two games' endings, somehow.

Rage.

No epic boss fight, no real feeling of danger, suspence or thrill, and you 'finally' get given the standard issue iD software 'BFG' equivalent and don't ever feel pressed enough to have to use it (when your best SMG spits armour piercing, stupidly high damage rounds in a neat grouping at whatever you point it at, killing them in relatively short bursts, and the shotgun near one-shot kills anything you aim it at, kinda pointless throwing in a massive damage shot option anyway.)

Plus, no option to go back and explore. You don't even really 'end' anything, you just start something, set a plan in motion... and then the game ends, roll FMV and credits. I was left wondering if the rest of the game, the Part 2, was on another disc or something... at least harass me with a dropship or something epic, in fact, ANYTHING else would have been better than something we've rinse-repeated in the Halo series three times already!

Killzone 3. Sure, I don't really like FPS games and it was already repetetive. But the ending. What a waste. Even with a friend it felt stupid.

Must say Final fantasy 9 is one of those games.

Not really the ending as such, but the Last Boss. It made no sense to the story and fealt tacked on...
That pretty much sums up all final fantasy games, I cant recall a single last boss that did make sense... ok I guess the one from 10 kinda did.

I'm gonna say that shadow hearts 2 almost was ruined for me, not by the end buy by the last 3/4ths of the game, the ending actually is what saved it for me.

Definitely RAGE.

I mean... oh, wow! Cutscene! Short! Over! On we go! What did I just see? Yay! Credits... what? Nice track... but... what?

Call of Duty4 Modern Warfare. I loved the game until that point, but when (spoiler warning, but really we have all played this game), all the characters die; excepts yours andone who seemed like he was dead, but wasn't.

Borderlands. I get that they were trying to be "unexpected" by throwing a giant tentacle monster at you instead of you getting your plunder, but it just felt really stupid. A stupid, uncreative ending that very nearly ruined it for me.

Not quite though.

I might have gotten ninja'd but definitely Rage's ending almost ruined the game for me.
Terrible "Boss" fight
No closure.

It was a pretty damn entertaining explosion-fest along the way though.

Arkham Asylum. Totally worse than Arkham City's end. Joker completely forgets what makes him fun and turns into a fucking monotonous boss fight we had repeat about fifteen fucking times. I didn't even finish the damn game I was so mad. THats all I can think of at the moment.

Condemned 1... and 2... Mostly 2... but 1 did kind of take a wrong turn, being chased by SKX was great, and it could've/should've ended right there, but no.

Fallout 3. Stupid stupid ending if you had a certain companion, and still not very good if you didn't have him. The fact that Broken Steel fixed the ending is partial proof of how shitty it was.
