Ever have a game franchise you used to like, but not so much now? How come?
The franchise I've lost interest in is Sonic, mostly the games though still into the comics and the fan stuff. The reason would have to be hearing the disappointment critic and fan reviews of some of the bad games a few years ago like ShTH and 06. During that time, I guess I've grown out of Sonic to a point that I kinda wish it would have ended. Though I still have fond memories of the classics. Sonic Colors seem to be having high reviews, but I don't care about it that much and probably wouldn't buy it. As successful it sounds and that it could make Sonic popular again, somehow I feel it wouldn't last too long since Sega seems to be milking him to death which could lead to their downfall IMO, and I've too much faith in Sonic Team.
Also, I've grown to be more of a Fighter/RPG person, sometimes FPS as well. Though I still like platformers. SMG2 was heaps of fun, and I'm planning to get Kirby's Epic Yarn. However, Sonic just isn't doing it for me anymore in gaming. Well, unless Sonic switches to another developer or company like Nintendo or Capcom, I might get into it again, but not at this point.
