Tygerfire, that sounds really neat. And if you don't want the game made, don't post something like that. Anyone could very easily adapt the idea so that it's still the same deal, but far enough away that they don't get into any legal troubles. Seeing as you don't have any copyrights or anything on the idea either, you're screwed, basically. If the game gets made and you get something out of it, that's going to be solely on the goodwill of the creators.
I said I'd be pissed, not looking for a lawyer, I know posting here is a free pass to my idea but that doesn't mean I'll be happy about it. Just thought like sharing regardless. Plus if it does get made the upside is one of my ideas will actually have been made a reality.

Plus if the game sucks I can always deny involvement and laugh.

I should probably get one of those Gas accounts someday, 5 bucks is quite a price

Okay, stay with me. It's a combination of GOW II and Star Wars Battlefront (FPS). You're a super-soldier in the first level and you promote a rookie to Sergeant just before you get sniped. You then play the rest of the game as the rookie working your way up to the super-soldier status in a world-wide war bridging on nuclear, and ONLY YOU CAN STOP IT BY ASSASSINATING THE EVIL DICTATOR!!!!
I will buy that idea form you with all the money in the land, its originality could be worth millions
Give up, originality is worth nothing in gaming, didn't you know? Now cut out the rookie and you've got a best-seller.
If I did that it would just be a knockoff of Halo.

EDIT: Or Gears of War.

I really dont know if its been made but id like to see a space combat game with things near to like "VS" suits from Lost planet but customisable, or better yet to see the game turned in to a mmo with planets ect would be stunning.

I was playing this game called Airfix Dogfighter with a friend a while ago. Basically, you fly little toy planes around a house and shoot other little military toys. We thouhgt it would be great to expand on that a bit. We'd ditch the planes and let people fully customise their own tank (and we mean fully. Like you basically open in paint and draw on it). The battles would be like Star Wars Battlefront, with different command points that you had to capture, each of them giving different benefits to your side. Battles would take place in gardens, kitchens, supermarkets, car parks etc.

Hell yes, I do that all the time. Recently I had a really good idea, but I like it to much to tell yet. However I was thinking of a game that was a combination of steam-punk and cyber-punk. I think it would be a cool experiment. It could play like System Shock 2 and be a horror too... because I like playing horror games. Also maybe a game with little need for graphics. It's also an idea I like so I won't tell a lot but I will say this. Alone In The Dark, literally. And finally (these are the ideas I'm keeping for the record, I've thought of a lot of others, I just didn't like them), why not a game I Like My Neighbors Well Done, a comedic zombie-sim, in which you play as a zombie after the planet has been taken over... by zombies, with few humans left. These are just some idea's but like I said I didn't like the others.

An FPS set in 1934 where you accidentally stow away on a Nazi Airship and find yourself in The Hollow Earth, where Dinosaurs, Hostile Tribes of Ape Men and a dark, ancient power slumber.

Battle Nazi's and Dinosaurs with steam punk weapons.

I've always wanted to design a game where you played as the villain and won. Like a Terminator® game where you played as Skynet? going back in time and trying to kill the Conners. I don't know, I've just always wanted to play on the opposite side of the moral compass. :)
I think a game like that came out in 2006 where you can either play as Christians or followers of the antichrist (the "villain" part), and can either kill or pray for your enemy humans to convert.

How much is all the money in the land worth? Not a lot, anywhere these days.

I'd love a modern combat flight simulator, much like Lock On, but with updated graphics, proper damage modelling (preferably like in IL-2 sturmovik, where most individual components of your aircraft can be shot off or destroyed), crash physics, and other random eye candy such as a good looking ejection sequence.

During that time that YOU'RE not playing, your toon is still in the game. Another character COULD come rob you but then again, they'd need a reason to rob you. If you're some broke guy, that probably won't touch you (unless some players want to grief).
Cool, not only can you be ganked while playing, but ganked while NOT playing. That sounds like a lulz feast. And having every single dude on the server at the same time would make quite the lag, good sir but i like the other parts of the idea.

It wasn't really a game, and it wasn't an idea but I had a dream about a new Final Fantasy character if that counts?

He was a cowboy with a whip and a knife. His special move was to use the whip to lasso an enemy, drag them forwards and stab them. I woke up and drew him but couldn't quite get it right.

I need a hobby. >_>
