'HA. HA. HA. HA. HA.' *cringes* It was the worst attempt at laughing ive seen in a game ever.
You do know that was meant to be like that? Because they were forcing themselves to laugh in the game.
Yeah, but it was still undeniably cringeworthyxD

The ending of assassin's creed 2, when they pull that failure of a plot twist involving gods. What the hell?
They're not
gods!

It'd be nice if you did.

I was playing a Navi warrior in my Avatar game (which isn't too bad of a game), I was on my way to the Tree of Souls to seek solace in my beliefs and seek guidance in troubled times, blah blah blah, when suddenly a bunch of human soliders show up and start screaming they they're going to kill me and that this planet is theirs now. They take out their guns and try to kill me *as I'm going to my holy tree grove.* To those who haven't seen the movie, that'd be like sniping a six-year-old kid on his way to church.
Assholes.

No, they were
a race of people before us. Given how advanced they were, when people found remnants of them they assumed they were gods. When Minerva says "we created you in our own image" its a direct reference to the bible. The names she gives for the others (I think she mentions Jupiter) are also only one of several names. The point was that the idea of gods was created to explain the things like the Pieces of Eden. Adam and Eve and Eden as well; bible references, nothing to do with Roman gods.

Everytime i hit a window ledge with a grenade. Thats usually more of an "OH SHI*Boom*" moment, But its followed by hard facepalming.

...And i KEEP doing it.
Yes window frames are my nemesis in many games.

When a character says something or you see an object that is such an obvious "subtle" plot device it almost hurts your ears/eyes. It happens sometimes in books too. One of the most common is the "last lesson of your training" where the trainer says "use this only in desperation" or something similar and you just shake your head knowing it will without a doubt turn up in the fight with the big boss at the end of the book/game/movie.
And the Window Key while im in the middle of a team fight in any online game. Usually LoL

Every time I'm in the middle of an epic shotgun battle in Gears of War 2 online, and the guy randomly decides to melee me down after we've been shotgun dueling for like half a minute. Seriously, how low can you go...?

They are the gods, they just don't exactly fit our description.

xD

If a god doesn't fit our description then its not a god. They're a super advanced civilisation - the idea of gods was created to explain the relics they left. They were still mortal, just with highly advanced tech.

This, except the balls thing.
Lucky you, it wasn't a pleasant feeling.
I'd think so. But it was so cringeworthy that it's not even funny anymore and it literally makes me want to shift my skin about from the crawling it most likely did. That's why I typically mute that scene.
I mean there are a few games with embaressing scenes, MGS3 when Snake is talking enthusiasticly about a gun, most dialog in EDF 2017 but that laughing scene takes the piss. I'm sorry but I think that is the first time I've ever walked out on a cutscene, I mean I watched it the first time but for subsequent playthroughs just no.
I think the same thing. I do the same thing whenever that scene comes on, I'd rather just go make a sandwich or something than watch that. I mean, I'd seriously rather sit through all of Metal Gear's cutscenes than watch that piss.
What were they thinking? I understand they were trying to produce a scene to make Tidus and Yuna closer whist dealing with the sadness and troubles of Spira, but it just turned into a complete mess. I mean I have been less embaressed when someone walked in when I watching porn, than if someone caught me watching that scene.
Who knows what they were thinking? I know exactly how you feel and I feel the same. Y'know all that snow on Mt. Gagazet? I think that's the clouds of leftover cocaine that fueled that script writing sequence.
XD I understand they were forcing themselves to laugh to get over all their emo but it was just done really badly, I think the voice actors must of been on the cocaine to record that and then think "Yeah that sounds alright."

Doing a 7 minute song on Audiosurf trying to get the ninja achievement and hitting a grey block a couple of seconds to the end...
My condolences. That must have been a hard couple of minutes after that happened

For me, it has to be whenever exposition is vomited on me for what seems like forever. I mean, could they have thought to present stuff in a more subtle and interesting way?

Jericho.

If I played it even half way, I would of ended up knocking myself out considering how many times I felt the need to face palm.

Yay spoiler tag discussions! :D
At that point it really is just semantics. By definition a transcendental god like the kind in Christianity is an alien. Not all gods are of the transcendental type mind you.

SPOILER ALERT

Fighting a giant human-reaper cyborg at the end of Mass Effect 2. Why combining an indestructable robot with fallible human tissue is helpful is left conveniently unsaid.

The end of Fable 2. Not the Lucien bit- I was fine with that. Just Theresa.

"Oh, look at this wish-tower leading to the sky. SHOTGUN!"
"But... Theresa... I just saved the world... Can I at least-"
"SHOT. GUN."
