haha I remember this.
Splinter Cell death screens were quite cool, the screen would turn red and it would play some sad music. Also, Sam would scream if you jumped off a high ledge that you would die from.

I would have to agree that the Arkham Asylum death screens are excellent.

My most hated one is not very original either: "You were killed by a grenade, watch out for the grenade indicator" - WRONG! I was killed by thirthy gazillion grenades, not one!

ive seen a video with Castlevania: SOTN and it looks pretty good.

i like the Killing Floor one, because you really feel like youve been pounded into the dust.

i hate, of course, the COD ones.

I'm not a fan of death screens (who is?), but I love the old games that taunted you for leaving the game, like Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64. The death screens that I hate the most are the classic Resident Evil screens because I saw them too bloody often. F-ck Nemesis!

Oh GOD I hated it when I left the game in any of those games. Imagine being 6 just quitting the game because I have to go somewhere, and then all of a sudden, GAME OVER! I just screamed.

My favourite ones come from Dead Space. Sometimes I just let myself die to see how I will be ripped apart.
I also love the war quotes in Call of Duty games.

As most of the people here, I hate the "YOU'VE BEEN KILED BY A GRENADE. WATCH OUT FOR THE GRENADE INDACATOR!"

But what I really hate and despise is the death screen in Mass Effect. I dislike it with great intensity. There's something about this music that makes me drown puppies.

Really? Cause I could have sworn I was still a'fucking live. The best death screen I've ever seen was probably Lost Planet. That medical beep thing really creeps me out. It makes me sad when I die. I've never had to resort to rage quitting on that though.

Guess a lot of us agree on the "You were killed by a grenade" scenes.

Favorite: Metroid Prime 3. Game over by full corruption.

Worst: stupid ones like "You are dead" or "You got killed by a grenade." Couldn't be more imaginative guys?
