It was terminal corruption, but I'll let it slide because it was hard to get that screen without trying. As for the OP, I like most of the Castlevania game over screens. Whether it was a painting, a bracelet, or a skull with a sword through it(oh, and a snake), they were always cool, yet somewhat scary to look at.Et3rnalLegend64 said:

In my first playthrough, I got the 'game over'-screen from SMT: Lucifer's Call burned into my retina quite a few times. It was pretty nicely done...
The best one I remember is from some game I once played 12 or 13 years ago... or something like that.
It was a top-down shooter with spaceships, when you lost your final life, the screen changed and you heard a loud, low voice actually yelling: 'YOU ARE DEAD!'
Kind of sounded like an army's drillsargeant, maybe it was sampled from a movie...
Also: Dying in the old Crash Bandicoot games.

Well, I don't LIKE dying, but one game that did it well was F22 lightning. You could watch a jet fighter explode from several different directions.
Man i always deliberately died in that game just for chuckles... I'm walking down a bunch of traps just going "Doo dee doo de doo!" Then a wall smashes my entire body, like, "OH NOEZ! I JUST GONE 2-D!"NIHILHATE said:
