Let's see. Halo series, assassin's creed series, hitman: contracts/bloodmoney, Metal Gear Solid. Actually, it may be better to go by composer: look up Jesper Kyd, Jack Wall, Marty O'Donnel, Jeremy Soule, Harry Gregson-williams.

The Dark Cloud games have great music, especially their theme songs:

I like much of the music from Halo, especially One Final Effort [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX63z4acmUo] (the track from the second half of the final level of 3), the main theme itself (Mjolnir mix or original, even Rock Anthem for Saving the World), I also love the Finish the Fight [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFOJ13sw8o4] track.

They're all just very "ZOMG! DEEDS WORTHY OF SONG!", like the Superman theme

I also agree with Xandus117, and would like to add Metroid, especially the original Brinstar theme

oh, and Big Blue, the Star Fox theme, Star Wolf theme, the SSBM intro [Hell, almost every piece of music in the SSB series)

Brutal Legend had a pretty good soundtrack, and Skate 2 was a nice collab of different styles.

Mass Effect's soundtrack was solid too, nice range of sweeping, slow stuff (Like on the Presidium) and fast paced action stuff (i.e. climax of the Virmire mission)

And I know they aren't games, but... The Breakfast Club and The Crow have 2 of the best soundtracks I have ever heard in my entire life.

I had forgotten how good the Halo soundtrack was- THe guitar version from Halo 2 is amazingly epic (the full 6 min long one) MGS2 For me was the best HGW score. And thats it for me- but considering I can rember every note of those songs cosidering they are bith a number of years old says alot.

And I'll bet that's the only Ink Spots song you know. And chances are you only found out about them throughout either Fallout or Bioshock (yes, a few of their songs were used in Bioshock before Fallout 3), and I'll bet you didn't know that!
As for me, the one game soundtrack I've never gotten sick of is Breath of Fire III. All of the music in that game is pure gold. Possibly one of the best soundtracks in an RPG.

I know of a few songs from Timesplitters: Future Perfect that are cool
I found the soundtrack of TS:FP disappointing after the much under-rated soundtrack of Timesplitters 2 and the original Timesplitters (the same applying for the the games themselves too, but that's another story). There's some brilliant electro in there amongst other things.

From Timesplitters:

From Timesplitters 2:

Actually I did know that.
And that they have a song called "That cat is high", which is just more awesome than I Don't Wanna Set The World On Fire.
I also know that that thing they do in the beginning they do in the beginning of almost any of their songs.
I know. That scale intro, right? I once sat down and listened to their entire discography, and there were literally 4 songs that didn't start off with that same intro but with an altered pitch or speed.

Haven't heard all of their songs, sadly.
Just a few on Spotify, and it's hard as hell to find old albums.
Around here at least
Well years ago, I managed to get hold of all their songs from peer2peer sharing (wrong I know, but try and find them anywhere else). That and my father has a few old Spots vinyls.

GTA always has a pretty great soundtrack. I actually thought Hans Zimmer doing MW2 was pretty good. His obsession with using drums did that game well.
