Time Hollow for the NDS. Everyone hates the easy and simple gameplay, but I like that in a adventure game, I want to focus on the story.

I like HD:R215 too, so you're not alone. =]

As for me, FFX-2 seems to gain a harsh audience. I don't know a single person besides me who likes it. I personally love the game, I like how it goes back to the roots of having jobs and skills that have to be acquired through AP, and plus, it's got a good storyline and fun minigames (even if they did murder Blitzball). My only complaint is that it's too short.
dammit, i was going to agree witht the OP and then bring up FFX-2. >.<

though i disagree on two points: the storyline was garbage and blitzball was never good in the first place. X-2 was nice enough to let me completely ignore it.

Gotcha Force, a random Japanese game where you make a squad of miniature robots and blast the living bajeesus out of a small army of equally small robots.
I was actually thinking of buying that once, but got Phantay Star Online: Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution (yes, that is the actual title) instead, which also happens to be my response to the OP.

Uper Mario Sunshine, everyone seems to thinks it sucks but I think it was original fun and had better graphics than 75% of all Wii games do now even though it was one of the first Gamecube games
I also liked Mario sunshine, the water pack was very original.

Revolution X. I know it's stupendously bad, but I can never pass up that aged arcade game sitting around in the many dingy bowling establishments around this fine country. I don't even really like Aerosmith either.

I acutualy own that game too and I admit that it is quite a fun game, I always liked to have one of the dragons in my party and blast the other toys into oblivion and it was funny how you could have a cockroach in your party even though it didn't really do anything useful.

As for me, I would say I Wanna Be the Guy is my favorite. I mean I know how some people say how insanly hard it is and even though you will die a lot in it, I like it for all the retro gaming refrences and the randomness of it.

I liked The Darkness. The multiplayer was bland, lagtastic, and doesn't exist for all I care but the single player campaign was fun.
Yes it was, and the story was fantastic too.

Without giving away spoilers, the relationships built in the game and the way they are affected by the events are just stunning and very moving.

The whole game was amazing to look at too, that giant train-cannon thing was just so badass.

Mirror's Edge. A game that expects you to make it through the game by running away! it was a nice change of pace from, shoot everyone that you see ever.

the story was bleh, it was very short, but the intriguing new gameplay was phenominal; and definately got me hooked.

Sopranos, the road to respect. Everyone hates it, but I think it's so bad that it's hilarious.

Of all things, all my friends hate the Phoenix Wright series >.> I'm addicted to it.

I mean, yes, it's a cheesy game about being a lawyer, but hey, it's damned funny at parts, and even if it is just essentially a point-and-click game, it presents that so wonderfully, I can't help but love it!

Well... other than that, Indigo Prophecy that I loved, but everyone else complains "Oh, it's just an interactive movie". I play games for stories, mostly, so long as the story's well written (well, to a point at least), then I'll survive crappy gameplay (Looking at you, Devil May Cry)

huh? Lol, I have heard very few people who hate this one lol.

For me I'd have to say ... Bikini Zombie Slayers (serious it's real) it actually has nothing to do with bikini'd ladies, the difficulty is pretty much easy as sin, but it's mindless fun and I don't mind that.

Another would be Final Fantasy X-2

O.K. Ive been a smash fan for 12 years and i have to say Brawl sucks comparatively they took out comboing, L-canceling and made Teching damn near impossible, and worst of all Meta-Knight is so fucking overpowered you have to play him if you want to play competetively because nobody else will plsy snybody else
I hear so many people say that about Meta Knight ... then they meet what someone can do with Sheik or Zelda and learn Meta is 2nd fiddle in that game.

You are welcome.. don't forget there's the creepy orphanage, haunting metros, ruined WW1 towns and castles to see also... damn. Now I want to play it again too.
