Meh, I feel ya, I always thought COD was generic and rather droll.

I don't think that means what you think it means.

Anyway, I love Disney's The Little Mermaid for the NES. It's a really balanced, challenging, fun game with some decent "thinking" gameplay (I wanted to say puzzles, but they aren't exactly...) that totally got ripped on by all my friends growing up because of the license. Give it a try; you'll be surprised how much fun they pack into a side-scrolling "shooter" that isn't just more of the same twitch-action.

Ah, quite so, I was thinking dull, and I type droll by mistake. Good catch.

Interstate '76.

I'm sorry you've never heard of this game, though. ._.
I don't think you understand the topic. It's 'Games that everyone hates but you', not 'Great games no ones heard of'. Thanks for sharing some of your vast knowledge though.
Everyone I know who's played it hates it.

I liked it.

It was mechwarrior 2 with cars.

From what I've seen, people think that game is pretty damn brilliant. Even if Giygas will give you nightmares.

For me, it's FFXII. It's by no means anywhere near the best in the series, but it's not bad like people say it is.

I know it's brilliant, but, alas, everyone I know in real life loathes it with a passion! Yeah, still getting nightmares....*shudders*

I was thinking about getting this if I found it for a low price. How highly would you recommend it?
Well, I got it at discount for about $10 used at Game Shit Stop. If you can find it really cheap, go for it. It's about as cookie-cutter as cookie-cutter shooters get, but despite how honestly bad the game is, it still has some kind of charm to it, which is why I liked it.

It's a rental game, for the most part. I still say that it should be given a good playthrough though. It's one of those "wow, there are tons of potential in this game" games.

Much appreciated, I saw a copy the other day for $10, I'll pick it up later.

Turok.

The new one, I like it, it's incessant dino-killing fun. Sadly everyone says it sucks, yet never provide a reason...
the only thing I don't like are the weapons, old Turok had all the cool fun gouge splat wahey weapons, new one has bog-standard FPS weapons :/

Mischief Makers! :D I thought that game was awesome and it got a lot of hate just because it was a 2d platformer on the 64.

Infinite Undiscovery. Yes, the VA was crappy, but the humour and characters and gameplay made up for it. The game just hit all my points in an JRPG. That's hard to do.

You're not alone there :) I've played through numerous times.

Also, that Predator game that was on the xbox... Concrete Jungle I think? I actually really liked that.

Shadowrun, an under marketed game that could have been big with a extra month of development. But some good did come of this, the game studio was shut down and some of the staff moved to Bungie.

For some reason everybody seems to give Eat Lead: The return of Matt Hazard a good ass kicking. But I actualy think it's pretty good if you look at it as playing a game that was made by Mel Brooks.
