yes the mods were awesome. Plus there was a competitive scene thanks to the mods. Now? all of it is no moreduchaked said:=) well actually that still makes 'greedy' not an entirely proper description (juvenile indeed)
yeah it wouldn't have been too much harder to create dedicated servers with extra anti-piracy measures created and latched on...taking away all of them would the somewhat lazier approach if anything (not that I really mind because I don't use the PC as my primary platform...)
or unless you really love custom mods and all that fun fun stuff
yeah well, I've never been a fan of mods, and my closer PC gamer friends (I might've mentioned this) actually dislike the flow of themDTWolfwood said:yes the mods were awesome. Yeeeah, I stopped reading right there. Seriously, who are you to say that the petitions didn't make sense? Hundreds of thousands of gamers thought that the other petitions made sense, so why does this one make more sense than them?ProfessorLayton said:This is an internet petition that might just actually work because it makes sense, something other internet petitions lack.
Too much, sadly. Too much.psyconius said:Surely you are familiar with the interwebs?Blimey said:I wouldn't think a noble cause like this could possibly spark controversy and flaming. Its truly amazing.

Half the stuff you are talking about they never said in the post you quoted.psyconius said:Gotta love living life through video games then... We are all here for that, surely. But specifically to kill people over and over again? Thanks for the bumper sticker on the back of your car that immediately tells me I never ever want to have to have a conversation with you. Not in fear of losing an appendage, but as an act of mercy. I wouldn't want to confuse you so much that your head would start hurting and you'd have to go torture an animal or something.Daedalus1942 said:...
I'm one of the people this topic represents. I am missing red cones in my iris so i have trouble differentiating between reds and greens and yet I have no trouble playing MW2.
I'm unable to become a fighter pilot or an electrician, but I can play Modern Warfare 2 just fine.
I take it you've not played MW2, or just not many online fps's in general.sooperman said:That, my friend, is a bias.
Also, what is wrong with PtP? I understand that with dedicated servers you get to set the match to your liking, but you are still going to be playing with laggers and hackers, so its hardly different. I've PC gamed, so I would know. Dedicated servers changed the game in zero ways, so I am unconvinced.
I've played MW2, and I have played dozens of other online FPSes. Infinitesimal adjustments to individual matches does not change the game. I've played games that use dedicated servers, and I prefer ones that don't.flaming_squirrel said:I take it you've not played MW2, or just not many online fps's in general.sooperman said:That, my friend, is a bias.
