I'd rather not feel like i am playing a game made for 14 year old emo kids.

Look at the god damn uniform they are wearing, and shoot them if they are not what your team wears. it. is. simple. And I plenty plenty of games where there are no names at all, and I do just fine.
I knew I loved you for a reason Danny. <3
I mean, you're complaining about a game company going out of their way to add an OPTION to help people who would usually have difficulty playing games... it's pathetic. The line "I don't want skulls and peace signs in my war game" pisses me off. Yes, because the game company is designing games for YOU and only you. The retards don't deserve sympathy or special compensation.
This bothers me on a personal level, I don't have colour blindness but I hate a disability and it's the same level of ignorance that can make life incredibly difficult for me and others.
Bah.

Don't you see? If we accept colourblind options into our games, then soon they'll think we want to be colourblind too! They'll come to your house with their stormtroopers and their tanks and their nuclear weapons and use fluoride in the drinking water to make you colourblind, they shot JFK because he knew the truth and damn it let go of my arms I'm trying to tell the internet the truth no doctor I don't want the happy needle agai

If Infinity Ward actually LISTENS to their playerbase, and gives them what they actually WANT... I'd be pretty surprised. However, no, this is definitely something that more games need to keep in mind while in development. One of my best friends is colorblind, and constantly bitches about this kinda thing in multiplayer.

When was the last time a game forced you into using colour blind mode, hmm?
Danny, why are you complaining? You shoot Ellis thinking he's a smoker/hunter anyway :p

This makes sense but there are lots of other games that use the same colour scheme green for good guys red for bad why not ask them to change as well. Still though this could be very easily fixed and it will be easier to change this then make video game for the blind.
PS: Stevie wonder is still a god among men though.

It's strange they didn't put one in in the first place. This idea gets my full backing.

To see trolls appear in this thread makes me kinda sad. It's a petition for an option, meaning those who won't be needing it can just, you know, not toggle it. There's no harm done while helping the colour blind players out.

While online petitions rarely make a great deal of difference, I'm hoping that this one gets plenty of coverage, because unlike certain other Modern Warfare 2 petitions [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.150774?page=1], it's for a very good cause.
I'd say that the petition regarding dedicated servers was for a good cause.

Anyway, I signed it; I think that an option for those who suffer from colour blindness would be nice.

I was mislead by the title I thought it was someone screaming at Infinity Ward for not including one (which still is a just cause but no one needs to scream) but yes I think thats a great idea for all games to ass a color blind option.

I agree. This is one of those petitions I can full hearty understand.

I hope they implant this.
I agree. I mean it wouldnt take much for them to add one either. I hope this works!

Yes they can, it's just very rare.

What the fuck is up with all the hate against modders? Are you being sponsored by insanity ward? Ironically, if they hadn't spent so much effort locking down the game into a gimped and useless console version, then color blind people could just change the text color like they could in cod1, 2, 4 and 5. GG badmouthing FAIL.
That would be fine and dandy for the people playing on the PC, but what about people playing on the 360 and PS3, who make up the significant majority of MW2 players?
Excuse me? what about them?

I support this, even though I'm not colour blind. I do have a question though:

Why is she doing the petition on her husband's behalf?

I'm not sure how you can, as it was a group of gamers - the minority no less - trying to get Infinity Ward to make their version of the game better than the others. Don't get me wrong, I'm as annoyed as anyone about the lack of dedicated servers, but it's by no means a good cause.

Yeah. I suppose.

I guess that I misunderstood what you meant by "good cause." I took it as a hit against the petition that was regarding dedicated servers.

I think 'trying to get them to implement features appropriate to the platform' would be a more honest way of phrasing that. Your argument could equally be used to defend PC conversions that only support 360 controller input.

I believe I saw an option for such a thing in most Valve shooters...should be too hard to implement.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a good cause, but its by no means a bad cause either. It was simply a call to retain a feature that has been a staple of PC games from damn near the beginning. It was standing up against a company that thinks it knows what its gamers want, despite the amount of outcry to the otherwise. I find it worrying that Activision took the "we know whats best for you" route, especially from a gaming segment that essentially made the CoD series. Without the PC demographic, we'd have no Call of Duty. And Activision saw fit to completely ignore them and give them the short end of the stick. It's not that the PC version has become so gimped that worries me, its the potential for where this could go. Who knows, maybe I'm just paranoid, but its really a chance I don't like taking. /rant

*ahem* Anyways, count my signature on there. This is something I can agree with.
