Obliviously they are sending Bioware cupcakes so that they die of Cupcake Overdose.

Know what would be fucking hilarious? If, should they decide to fix the ending/extend the ending to make it better/whatever, they incorporate cupcakes as a major theme. Perhaps it turns out Little Space Timmy is indeed just an indoctrination trap/hallucination. The TRUE Catalyst is a cupcake!

This really makes me giggle. I imagine it happening like this:

Player A: "Man, that ending sucked. How should we protest it?"
Player B: "It totally did, we should raise money for charity!"
Player A: "Yeah, that'll show them."
Player B: "And so they really get the message, let's buy them cupcakes!"
Bioware: "Um... what?"

I'm guessing 400 cupcakes because really what makes a bigger impact, getting 3 different colored cupcakes in the mail or getting 400?

nah, their still pricks and its still a waste of money, I read enough pitiful whining on forum from these losers to make me despair about my species. Lets have some perspective, its only a game for christ sake, so the ending was unsatisfactory, so what. I've been there many times before LOST being a recent example. But I have a life, people who depend on me and i'm lucky enough to live in a society where I get enough to eat and have a roof over my head. Life is to short.
Nice sweeping generalizations pal. Nevermind that many of the people who donated to that charity and/or are currently in support of the "Retake ME3" movement are fine, well-adjusted people who have lives and families. Nope, let's just label them all as pathetic.

Get over it, guys.

Just stop.

Seriously.

It went from it being kind of cool that the playerbase was really invested in the game's universe, to being really sad and bloody annoying. Get over it. You're just making yourselves look childish and pathetic. Post in their forum and don't buy any more Bioware games or something, but please, for the love of god, go away and stop this over dramatic bullshit.

It's not impressive.

It's not cool.

You're not making a difference.

No one cares.

Sit down, write a letter, convince your friends to stop buying EA games or to cancel their pre-orders to Bioware games, do anything but this.

Honestly, it's because of all the whiny bastards who keep on bitching about Mass Effect 3 that I what to play Mass Effect 3 even less than I did before it came out, and who can really blame me? Who in they're right mind would want to get into a series who's fan base acts like this just because the series not only ended, but ended in a way that they didn't like and are now sending nothing but unnecessary rage everywhere?(I know that not everyone acts this way, but enough people do to make my point still valid)

So basically they're saying "Fuck you Bioware. We're so mad we'll send you these delicious cupcakes." Yes that will totally show them.

Maybe I should say I wrote the Mass Effect endings so I get 400 free cupcakes.

I think this is actually a very clever way to make a point...but sending tasty baked goods isn't exactly twisting someone's arm. "Wait," says BioWare, "we're not sure we completely understand what you're saying, here. Another batch or two might help explain your point of view better."

is it just me or is the fan protest of mass effect 3 ending like the most productive rage fest ever? $80,000 to a charity, and now 400 cupcakes to their offices? We need to swing this into other productive endeavors. a few;
-democracy in syria against mass effect 3
-Feeding orphans in africa to change the ending.
-WORLD PEACE IN THREE DIFFERENT COLORS!!!

134 posts and only one has a pony attached. I am suprised.

OT: This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen for a protest.

shouldn't they make the cupcakes bad? I mean the devs could also interpret it as a "we love you guys so much we send you 400 cupcakes!"

That's much better than the guys over at the Bioware Social Network basically shouting "Shut up and take my money and make me the ending I want!", as if Bioware is some cheap street hooker taking orders.
This is a very nice and special form of peaceful protest.

Maybe the implication is that if they supply more variety of endings, they'll be rewarded with many different flavours of cupcake.

Buuut, with this, I think I'll have to admit that some Mass Effect fans are running deep into Cuckoo Land, and running in big floppy clown shoes that squeak.

400 cupcakes can not be divided evenly into 3 different colors.
well you need one left over so you can try it to see if it came out correctly right?

I like the way you subvert and cheapen your argument by falling on the tired old internet cliche of 'I have a life'.
