If I had to pick one, I'd say this guy [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view] has a pretty horrid one.

That or the ones that directly reference a game, especially when it's not the game I'm playing.
I wonder if anyone's going to fall for that this time?
Nah, they won't. Except This Person Might. Oh wait, I don't know how to post links. Darn, although it's probably for the best...

I once saw a guy on Halo named "XxA7XNIGHTMARE666xX"

Needless to say, he became my prime target.

Pretty much anything with a really obvious drug reference in it annoys the shit out of me and I have a tendency to target those people. It just seems sad and desperate bid for attention. I don't mind the XnameX thing so much partly because back in the day in chatrooms, IRC, or AIM, having x's around your name denoted straight-edgedness. Kind of funny now.

Awww yeah. Proper words, captials used sparingly and no numbers in my name.

The one thing that annoys me in my own names is numbers. In the past I didn't mind about numbers on the end, but then it really started annoying me. Also I guess adding pattern letters to either side of a name to make it look unique, irks me the same way as numbers do.

I can remember knowing of someone that called themselve "Art of War", but put T's on either side because the name had already been taken... People would deliberately misread it as "Tart of Wart".

To be perfectly honest there aren't any usernames I hate. Hell, I even met a guy named something like xXxL33TSHOTZDIKLOLxXx and he was a really nice guy. There are no usernames I hate, I only hate the person hiding behind it.

Oh god, I'm cracking up that's so funny! It comes the closest to beating the greatest gamertag that I've ever seen, which belonged to my friend before xbox live made him change it; "DingDongTitties"

I hate any gamertag or username that references marijuana, female genitalia (and the acquisition of) and alcohol. Mainly because you know that there's some **** under 16 piece of shit on the other side.

Gamertags that annoy me (hate is such a strong word) are those that indicate the country of origin. The european server of a f2p mmo I play every once in a while is full of ******hun and ******cz and *******pl. I would understand if this was used to recognize each other and chat about how great their country is (or whatever it is these guys are doing) but all the *****hun's etc. are in the same fucking guild! Why do they have to be so tribal... no one gives a shit.

OT: Anything with unnecessary numbers. The only case i liked was a guy called Teatime42.
His second name was Teatime.
I have No idea where the Forty-two comes into it.
Dude, Tea-time "for two"

OT: iTz, I can't put into words how much I hate anyone with that at the start of their name
GTs containing; -Sn1P3Z, FuSiOnZ, MaGiCkZ, H34DsHoTz etc.
- 420 - NO! It doesn't make you cool!
- Pro, MLG - invariably terrible players with an inflated sense of their own ability
- Random numbers at end of obviously already taken GT - Get some imagination, be unique! :p
Unimaginative names in general, I guess...

Any name with "69" at the end of it, chances are that player will be a)very offensive and rude and b) about 13 years old and a virgin, on KillZone you get a few users with Japanese writing as there names, they are guaranteed to be cheaters/glitchers/lag switching players because try fucking typing there names to report their asses.
That's actually quite ingenious. Terrible, of course, but ingenious.
I KNOW RIGHT?

There's common knowledge that if you log into a game server out of your continent (as in, if your in Australia and you log onto a European server) you get a split second advantage in terms of lag, it always goes in your favour, so the Japanese players would shoot round corners.... people noticed this as they always do in FPS's, so you get guys with English accents with Japanese names, AND THEY DON'T EVEN PLAY THE OBJECTIVE?

FPS players will do anything for their Kill Death ratio.

Anything with numbers in them. I seriously can't wrap my head around why people would put numbers in their names.

Anything with 420 or 69.

DURRR HERRRRR SMOKE WEED AND PORNZZZ DURRRRRRR

/launch killmenow.exe

Also, anything I can't pronounce. I think usernames should be pronounceable at least, something short and sweet. I'm always Don Savik or Bekumu (shortened to Don or Bek). See how easy that is to type and say? A little accessibility goes a long ways.

Here's a general rule for making a username. If you think our being clever? Your likely not, and people very likely hate you and your screen name.

Random assortment of letters and numbers combined together to make a word that doesn't make any sense.
Any name that states that their better than you.

That's all that I can think of right now.
You beat me to it.

Might as well add names that end in country codes. PL,BR,DK etc.
