Gamertags and other usernames you hate

If I had to pick one, I'd say this guy [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view] has a pretty horrid one.

That or the ones that directly reference a game, especially when it's not the game I'm playing.

Well, to be honest I think sometimes myself that the nick is stupid. I somehow came up with it when I needed a username for an online game and every name I tried was already used. I still use it most of the time because over the time I kind of associate myself with that nick and I'm to lazy to think of a new one.

Now that I looked a little closer at the link, I feel stupid. I guess someone had to fall for it.

But, in my defense, I was 13 at the time. I've since matured and taken a much better name. "Irridium".

Now, I hear you say "you idiot, it's misspelled!" Well my dear forum commenters, that's the point! Adding more r's and rolling them off your tounge makes the name sound sexy!

Gonnapwnyou and names that are self complimenting really annoy me. As note I don't hate the XXX_name_XXX as much as most people seem I always took at as your favorite name got taken and you didn't feel like being Jeff_2, I say the same for 1337 names but that has it's limit.

Anything that is impossible for me to physically -read- drives me right off the ruddy wall. I hate any and all bookend characters, excessive abuse of the letter X, and numeric references to pot and or simultaneous oral stimulation. But what kills me more than anything else are the people who try and create really dark, brooding names. If your name contains the word "Dark", "Shadow", "Zero", "Lone", or any other teenage-angst-buzzword, please just delete the account now and start over. Your future self will respect you more for it.

And to avoid accusations of hypocrisy, my username on this site is a nickname from high school and is actually pronounced "Fish". Specifically:

"Gh" as in "enough"
"O" as in the plural pronunciation of "Women"
"Ti" as in "Locomotion"

"Ghoti" = "Fish"
Also, at first read it looks like it's trying to say "Goatee", which is the manner of facial hair I had during high school. Not an ideal username, but at least it's grounded in observations of the English language instead of blunt idiocy.

Only usernames that piss me off are the ones that are phonetically written "blah blah", but the person insists theyre pronounced "bleh bleh". Its like: why dont write it that way then jackass?

Also console gamertags are the ones that are usually just a pile of fuck and the letter x, pc gamertags are usually references or something clever (no references arent clever)

The millions of rogues in the game with dark or silent or stab in their name, the other millions of deathknights with the word death in their name. The other people who think of a name, but it's taken, so instead of thinking of a new name they put those fucking retarded letters in it.

OT: Anything with unnecessary numbers. The only case i liked was a guy called Teatime42.
His second name was Teatime.
I have No idea where the Forty-two comes into it.

I don't really mind usernames with xX, 0r wr1t3s numb3rs 1n th3 m1ddl3 0f th31r us3rn4m3, or just specific words such as Sniper, Toxic or something like that. Sure, it's not original at all, it's not clever, or anything like that, but it's nothing horrible or something like that. It can most of the times just be funny to see. One time, when i was playing TF2, i was 2 people with almost the same name. One had xXToxicSniperXx, and the other one had T0xicSn1per^ as a username. It was hilarious to just watch the chat when they tried to argue that the other one should change name. ^-^

Let's see if that ISN'T TOO NEGATIVE. Sorry that optimists enterperet realism for pessimism. If I did have some negativity to get over in my personal statement it may have something to do with people called negative when I'm being honest. When I say I have very few interests, it is true. As much as my tutor would like to believe I don't have some hidden talent. YES I SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY SURE OF MY CAREER AND MY ABILITY IN THAT CAREER AT THE AGE OF 17.
