So basically we will have to do the [Witty adjective][Noun] routine? You people mock those usernames but you guys are not actually any "funny" or "refreshing". Your usernames are also pretty much annoying - I just chose to ignore it because FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS! or something like that. I admit mine isn't that special or "unique" but I don't see a problem with that.
How many people have internet access right now? When my generation starts having real jobs and families, mortgages and minivans we will have MILLIONS of kids and teenagers on the internet PLUS the footprint their parents left. Assuming those accounts are never deleted... we will start taking every available username that makes sense.
So if I use xXElPatronXx or ElPatron_x3 it's because someone took ElPatron and I won't be changing my callsign just because of ONE game I can't use it in.
Also, multi accounts.
But if you can't get the username you wanted, obviously you should just think up something completely different because someone else thought of it already, and everyone needs to be a unique and original snowflake and why would you want to share a username with somebody else even though it's entirely impossible to be completely unique and there's a good chance that any username you can come up with, someone else will think of as well.
Why do we keep getting so many threads about "Blah blah blah that you hate?" You know what? That's what I hate. I hate all of the threads that are complaining about "[blank] you hate!" I don't usually get annoyed by pointless hyperbole, but "hating" usernames? Really? I hate the people who are devaluing the impact of the word "hate". It's not enough anymore, it's lost all of its meaning.
For the record, for the people in this thread who apparently don't even like numbers being in the names, this is my username because I picked it when I made my first e-mail account something like eleven years ago and I've stuck with it since then, because at the age of nine I wasn't exactly a super-genius who was ready to come up with an amusing, clever name that might have been less-than-easy to memorize. I have a hard enough time keeping track of the various passwords I have to use for everything.
Captcha: "laugh at me" ... well now, have some self-esteem issues, do you SOLVEmedia?
