Jet Grind Radio and Jet Set Radio Future, the second being my third-favorite game of all time.
This is seconded.

If another Jet Set is made I'll die truly happy

Darkstalkers is an amazing fighting game with a really unique cast of characters.

Sadly, outside of the character Morragan, no one really knows about the series.
You mean I'm NOT pumped to play as Hsien-Ko in MvC3?

It's a shame they're not including Talbain. What a badass.
w.www.ww.w...
What did you say?
Hsien-kk..kk.kkk.o..?
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I am a happy man.
You are awesome.

Though i agree, Jon would have been a great character, and he is supposedly the most popular Male character from the game in the U.S.
I love his style, kinda like Hakumen, his normal Moveset had moves that let you dash to the opponent.
Badass indeed.

I also personally would have loved Huitzil.
One of my best characters in the game.

splatterhouse, gunstar heroes, Sin & Punishment, space station silicon valley, Jet Force Gemini anything by treasure, Illbleed, stretch panic, power stone, earthbound and Clock tower. any good game for the Dreamcast may also qualify since not many people even remember that system.

Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen. A cult classic that only released 20,000 cartrages in America. You can get it for $8 on the Virtual Console, and it will easily supply you with 50 hours of gameplay

Fallout 2. The reason I recommend 2 and not both is that 1 & 2 are so similar, you could simply read up on 1's story and not miss a beat. That, and its only $9.99 on Steam.

Overlord is considered a "cult classic".
Overlord is a Dungeon Keeper wannabe, too stuck on mass appeal to really allow the player to really be evil.

Dungeon Keeper is a cult classic (cult classics essentially having niche content).
Fallout 1 & 2 are cult classics, as well.
River City Ransom (aka Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari in Japan) is another one.
Yes, because raiding a village, slaughtering their men, and enslaving their women for bondage is FAAAAAR to stuck on "mass appeal".

As I said, Overlord is considered a "cult classic".

Also, Conkers Bad Fur Day and War of the Monsters are cult classics.

Not sure how big it was when it was released, but no one I've ever talked to (in person) knows about X-COM.
X-Com really is almost the definition for a "cult classic", the vast majority of the people who played it loved it and a large number of them became rather fanatical about it...which is kind of why Hasbro thought they could shove Enforcer down our throats, even though it was a piece of offal thrown together to take advantage of a perceived demand for TPS games at the time. :\

Sacrifice. Excellent RTS. My favourite, even edging out DoW2. No one has ever, ever heard of it, though the critics loved it. Not sure what's up with that.

I never got this whole "cult classic" thing. So many things I hear called cult classics are considered classics by just about everyone, but doesn't that just make them classics?
I guess its selective to your knowledge of games. Generally though a cult classic should be a game that although recived very well by critics they failed to sell well. Normally due to poor advertising or being different to the normal style of gameplay seen. Things like Ico or Shadow show this very well.

Others are games that just never got heard off but still have a massive active fanbase like Arcanum or Vampyre: Bloodlines

Theres a lot of people that have never even heard of these games although Ico, Shadow and Vampyre have all been reconised by the wider community a lot more now but theres a few of the games people have mentioned here that ive never even heard of and ive always felt quite up to date with games

(Personally some of the games mentioned here I wouldnt consider so much cult classics because of the sales and general knowledge that surrounds them e.g. overlord, fallout 3, god of war)

It's been accurate for every character thus far, so I'm gonna trust it.

As opposed to the torture, human sacrifice, brainwashing, and demon-summoning from Dungeon Keeper.

I loved that game!! Always had to start again when I got bored of the creature selection I had built up though. Normally around the last few levels. The gods arguments were a lot of fun tho. Still play it during lan games with my brothers occationally
