Fallout 3, Super Mario Bros.(GBC) and Gears of War 2. I only played Fallout 3 for a bit, and I can understand how people would like a sandbox game, but it was just boring going through gray rubble for hours and going to some sort of lame fetch quest. I got farther in Gears of War 2, and I liked the enemy diversity, but the game just wasn't fun at all. And I liked Gears of War, so I know it's not me.

And my god, Super Mario Bros., at least for the GBC, was completely awful. Every single time I was starting to have fun, I died 3 seconds later because the physics in the game are just so awful. I'll admit I'm not the best platformer ever, but I'd like to think I know my fair share considering I beat Mr. Skops on Rayman PS1.

Anything turn based or console RTS. God above do I hate turn based games.

Final Fantasy for example? The poster child of turn based stuff? Will NEVER see the draw. That and it just looks soooo fucking ridiculous. They style is just god-awful. Sorry to fans of the series, but when I see some really cool looking cinematic in a commercial with apparently epic combat, and its really just the same turn based "your guys line up over there, I'll stand over here with my guys, waiting to take it like a puss" gameplay, what's the point?
The only reason the older Final Fantasy games had it was to get around technical problems, just like random encounters. Oh, and it's called strategy. I can understand, thinking a battle through isn't what some people like, but unlike games like Halo, you cannot beat the game without knowing how to de/buff characters.
Um, dude? Its not fun. Period. You know that issue you had above with Super Mario Bros.? Thats the problem I have with Final Fantasy. Besides the ridiculous story and plot, whenever I thought the game would redeem itself with some amazing battle of epic proportions... turn based battle broke the action completely. Oh great! now I can scroll through a dozen drop down menus so I can choose to watch an animation play out... then repeat. There is no skill beyond endless grind and buffs. Its ridiculously boring after a short while...

Halo.

Yes, like everyone else that doesn't like Halo. Basically, you either love or you hate Halo, and to those who do, I say "Kudos for you.", because it's not really 'special'. It doesn't have...zing. It's an interplanetary war series between powersuit guys and aliens, and it's very pretty. But what is it besides a very pretty sci-fi FPS? There's alot of them out there, so why would it stand out anymore than others? Can't really say, myself.

I'm not into Halo, and I'm not in specifically because other people are so into it that there's some truth to Egoraptor's "Awesome Reach" vid (which I'm sure a number of you are aware of). The things I like about Halo are the things that spoof Halo, the non-serious funny shit like the Machinimas. You won't see me get into the GAME. It doesn't look fun to me.

Final Fantasy 7.

I would honestly call it the worst of the Squaresoft made Final Fantasy games. I have played through it on four different occasions trying to find what people like about that cliche, emo, piece of garbage, but I can't find it. I'll play FF9 or 10 (I mute the terrible voice acting) over 7 any day.

bioshock, didnt see any appeal apart from the fact that there was humour in it.

fallout 3, didnt like the whole constant walking around thing, it just seemed so slow paced it was almost painful to play.

championship manager games, dont like just watching a virtual reality game of football, when i can play fifa instead and get to do everything plus play the game.

left 4 dead 2, just an expansion on the first game really, few new guns, melee weapons new specials and different survivors, (which dont make any difference anyway).

call of duty: world at war, just sucked big balls compared to MW1, why would i want to play another WW2 FPS anyway after playing MW1.

gears of war 2, they made this game for shit people basically, its so easy to play bad and still win compared to gears1.

i think thats it :p

To other fighters, I think its a really "fundamentals" focused game, so you wont see anything too crazy like an s&m chick shooting out exploding bubbles and chomp mouths that shoot lasers or .... whatever Faust is. It's something a lot of people grew up with. It ain't perfect, buts its just a damn good series.

But funniest fighter has to go to Hokuto no Ken. 7 second rounds, infinite combos, people flying everywhere, and bnb's that go to instant kill. Some of the dumbest shit I have seen in a fighting game ever (still fun though).

Majora's Mask gets an honorable mention from me. I know how Zelda games give you very little guidance throughout the game, but Majora's Mask took that to an 11. I quit 2 hours after talking to random NPCs and getting nowhere.

The ridiculous story? Until VII, the storylines were actually really simple. Hell, the storyline in II and VI was "THE EMPIRE IS BAD. BEAT THE EMPIRE" for most of the game, and I don't think Final Fantasy VI was hated by everyone and their mother for their super complex storyline. There is no skill beyond endless grind and buffs? Maybe you got it confused with Dragon Quest. Final Fantasy is actually an easy series compared to most JRPGs, so grinding is all but necessary. Oh my god, a 1-5 second animation, you could use that time to find a cure for cancer, right? Most random battles in Final Fantasy VI don't even last a minute if you have any idea of what you're doing, I don't see how this is a problem. And epic battles is very subjective because you can still have an epic battle without it being a pure hack & slash. The only thing I can't argue is how fun it is.

I'm fine if you state your opinion, but you don't even know what you're talking about, you're just repeating the same lies from people who never got to appreciate games despite their gameplay limitations.

Bioshock...I tried, I promise. I even played through the whole damn game, but I could just never see why everyone thought it was so great.

Having said that, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. People like Bioshock, I don't really, life goes on. =)

Max Payne and (most likely) its sequel.
I just find the whole film noir-feel of it overbearing, the game is visually way too dark and the gameplay simply isn't that enjoyable.

World Of Warcraft. The game itself makes no sense to me, personally. You create an avatar, you run around in circles and do odd jobs and quests for the baddies or the goodies. And people pay to play this game?

That might be true, but even Street Fighter has it's crazy stuff (it introduced throwing fireballs in a street fight), but I yeild that it is more down to earth than BlazBlue and Guilty Gear. Nonetheless to me it just feels a bit underscale on everything it does in comparison to other games out there.

Over the top moves - Go Guilty Gear.
Quality Graphics - Really any other fighter, but 2D: GG 3D: Soul Calibur
Techincality - DOA4 and BlazBlue

It's got its following and I respect that, but they just haven't ever felt like they have advanced the title or really put any work into it.
