I can understand Far Cry, CoD, Gears of War and Resident Evil, but STALKER? :'(

STALKER was remotely tolerable in the sense that i didn't have the urge to murder employees of its company or to slit my throat with the game disk. Something i can honestly say that maybe 4 of those games have done. I still don't like it.

Halo, Oblivion and Fallout 3. i tried each of them for around 2 hours each, and i was dissapointed.

MGS and Final Fantasy, mostly due to boring gameplay and stupid stories. You know, the JRPG kind of stories. Overly dramatic soap operas.
Oh, and Devil May Cry. Ninja Gaiden is superior to that game in every way. Even in the story departement, because DMC got one of those JRPG stories again. Man, I hate JRPGS...

Halo, Oblivion and Fallout 3. i tried each of them for around 2 hours each, and i was dissapointed.

Both Fallout and Oblivion aren't really the kind of games you only play for a few hours. I'm not saying you have to like them because of that, just that they are slow to start.

I put 120 hours into my first playthrough of Fallout and think it's my favourite game, but when I first played it I was pretty meh about the whole thing. Sloooooow start almost put me off, but it only got better.

However, Halo I agree with. Never got into the first game and it's popularity continues to amaze me

I never much cared for LittleBigPlanet, though the reviews were rave and I recognized the production values were top notch, it just wasn't my thing i guess. Same thing with Metal Gear Solid 4. Also could never find the the spark to finish Bioshock, though I've been meaning to do that for a few years...

Team Fortress 2, I just hated the fact the you had to be really good at the game to enjoy it.
Halo franchise, it's just because I played alot better FPS.

Probably L4D, I bought a copy and it just doesn't hold my attention for too long. It doesn't help that I am not a huge multiplayer fan anyway, but friends were raving about how good it was, so I guess I caved in to peer pressure.

I knew it. I knew that 90% of all the people that post in this thread will say "Halo."

It's getting annoying now. Judging by how everyone hates Halo in this thread with an undying passion then it is not considered "A game you hate that everyone loves" since "everyone" hates it according to these boards.

We all get it. "The Escapist community Hates Halo" why not just post it on the front page. "All Halo game lovers will be crucified beyond this point."

How many of you are still going to sit here and continue to say "Halo is a worthless piece of shit." I mean really? Do you all purposely set things up like this?

It gets redundant after a while. We heard you the first thousand times you posted it. Kind of wish this thread would close so that I can stop hearing in every thread the same old thing "Halo sucks." At least some of you have the decency enough to at least say "I never got into the game, but I can see why some would find it good."

I never liked it, but before I started saying bad things about it I actually tried playing it for a while, just in case everyone else was right and it was a great game. It thoroughly failed to impress me.

I really suck at the whole FPS genre, which is a pain in the backside, cos I actually really like Halo and would like to be good at it :-( Same goes for Half Life (I have the Orange Box, doesn't get played much, not cos I don't like it but because I suck at FPS's)
I can play multiplayer though! And am good with 3rd person, as they say 'Practise makes perfect', I guess...............
