Ikaruga, Tales of Symphonia, and Phantasy Star Online 1&2+ are definite must haves.
There's also a couple of collection games for Sonic and Megaman if you're into that sort of thing.

The starfox games: Assault and Adventure.
Eternal darkness as has been mentioned.
XIII - a cartoon FPS shooter/thriller.
Hitman 2 Silent assassin
Metroid prime and prime 2:echoes
Summoner: a goddess reborn - possibly the best none bioware RPG in existance, definitly for its time.

And of course, the ultimate must have game, whose name must be spoilered lest its awesomeness cause young heads to explode:-

Definitely hit the classics (Wind Waker, Paper Mario: TTYD, Eternal Darkness) if you haven't already.

As for RPG's, Paper Mario Thousand-Year-Door is pretty damn good, actually.
Damn right, though I'm not quite sure what it is I liked about it, other than it being freaking hillarious. I think it was brilliant characterization and interesting locations... Once you get past the first 2 areas.

TIME SPLITTERS FUTRURE PERFECT

Awesome game, still play it now, zillions of characters, infinitly fun multiplayer, got a MASSIVE kill streak (a few thousand bots) but my memory card got corrupted and it gots deleteded...

BITE MY CRUNCHY BROWN ASS!
-Gingerbreadman (yes that is an actual line from an actual character)
Naa. Timesplitters 2. Before the game got obsessed with monkies and huge breasts. Gotta love flame tag.

Pikmin! Oh wait, you've already played that.

Pikmin 2!!

Okay, okay, fine. I'd say go with Starfox Adventures. Sure, it's not that great of a game to most people, but I like it. It has it's moments. But it's still better than Assault...which you should probably get, too.

Metroid Prime, Super Smash Bros Melee, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Luigi's Mansion, Animal Crossing, Simpsons Hit n' Run, Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, and Super Mario Sunshine are what I'd suggest. If you can find it, also try to find the Gameboy Player, as it's fun to play GB/GBC/GBA games on a big screen. That, and you don't have to worry about a battery ever dying on you.

May i ask without sounding like such a pleb...

But what is Custom Robo? That has caught my attention in this thread, do you design your own robot and use it or something ha?

Also more information on Metroid games would be good, from a players perspective at least.

RPG's (with decent customization although that is optional :p )
Tales of Symphonia IF you can find it. I swear I see it nowhere these days in British Second Hand circles. I think some munchkin somewhere is stashing them.

Whoa, I could do with visiting a shop like that.

Hmm, as for games... Super Mario Sunshine is alright but I'm not that far into it.
Also the Zelda games.

Metroid Prime is a First Person Shooter/Adventure games.
Its AMAZING(to me at least)
Awesome Art, Music, and extremely fun Gameplay.
The Backtracking gets repetitive after a while and the First Person Platforming gets really annoying but its a lot of fun.

And Custom Robo is a Game where you Build your own Miniature Robot and Battle it out with other Robots in an Arena.

Yes, it is. It's also much more satisfying than playing Coliseum over and over again. (I didn't like Coliseum, at all.)

Also, if you want more info on the Metroid games, think of it more as a first person adventure than a first person shooter. If you've played a 2D Metroid title before, a lot of elements will feel similar (like colored doors and the plasma beam, et al), but with a much larger focus on exploration rather than platforming. If you still want to know more, you kinda need to be a bit more specific.

I have never played a Metroid game before lol, Seriously i saw the cover for the first time a few years ago and i thought Master Chief turned camp.

And i mean does it flow well, are the controls easy, what makes it the popular title it is now? Without giving the story away lol
