When I was a kid, I played through all of the "Eye Of The Beholder". I would love to see this series with new graphics, new videos, voice overs. I would definitely buy that!

Edit: I am still a kid :-D

Battlezone 2: Combat Commanders

Interesting take on hybrid FPS / RTS with hovertanks. Kinda rough around the edges, but it had some interesting ideas I haven't really seen elsewhere.

Honestly though, I think we'd all like FF7 remade with all of Square's pretty graphics. That's all we've ever wanted. I don't really think the earlier FF's would benefit from it, though, as the pixel art was a great strength in my mind.

Ecco the Dolphin.

The game scared me when it was colorful and in sprites. Can't believe what they can do with it today with atmosphere building.

The early SMT games. we've been without them for too long

also Rakuga Kids. I've never played the game and i've heard that the gameplay is mediocre but I adore the concept and would love to see it on the 3DS

I would like to see stargunner (http://joe.siegler.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/stargunner7.jpg) with better graphics, more levels, more weapons. It was an amazing game!

Tenchu - revamp and update the stealth mechanics, expand and open up the original maps, and seeing how this is my fantasy have there be branching story paths, and elaborate a bit more on the characters. Oh and no terrible Japanese accents.

Syphon Filter ? I just want to see Gabe Logan back heh. Have it play more like the new Splinter Cells where stealth is just as valid an option as going in guns blazing. In the originals stealth was a viable option for all of two minutes in levels that weren?t built around it and really there were only about 3 that were.
Next I would really like to see an emphasis on player choice and consequence. What can I say I agree with Warren when he said the game should be built around the player Avatar and that it should react to how the player interacts with it. It would also be great, if this were remade, to see the levels be opened up more instead of there only being one linier path.

And one last thing. Bring back the stylized visuals from the first and second game (more the first because I felt Gabe just looked better with that massive chin). I will have no photo realism in my Syphon filter! We already saw what that got us in 3 *shudders*

Deus Ex ? I?ve said it thousands of times here I would only want this remade so they could tweak the gameplay a bit and update the visuals for two reasons. One reason being so that the people who just can?t get past the dated graphics would actually give this game a shot. I really think it?s just tragic that people let that get in the way of experiencing this game but hey *shrugs* I guess visuals matter more to some people.
My other reason for wanting this would be to better connect it to Human Revolution aesthetically ie the cybernetic enhancements.
Besides some gameplay updating and the visual touch ups don?t change a thing. Don?t even change one little word when it comes to the story.
Oh but maybe make it winter, I don't know, I just feel like that game would work better if it were snowing. Again I have no idea why.

And, well heh, not that I would really want it but it?s kind of been an idea stirring around in my mind lately. Mainly because it seems as if everyone is completely lost when it comes to bringing this series back and I figure this way could both please old fans and draw in new ones and no one would feel alienated along the way.

I am of course talking about

A Blood Omen remake ? and I mean a 90% faithful remake, we?re talking Resident Evil 1 style here. Take it from being top down game and put the camera behind us, and make the combat as weighty and strategic and as Dark Souls. I think it would be a good translation and update of the original combat from Blood Omen and would suit Kain for that time.

I really just get lost imagining what that world would look like updated in today?s visuals from a standard third person view. And I would really love if they were to elaborate more on certain story elements. For example, Kain?s assassination; that could really be paced out much better instead of being as rushed as it was.

Give us time to know Kain before he died, lets us wander the town a little bit and let us interact with the towns people some. Then as we are about to leave bam! Don?t remove us from the experience by having us watch the ambush. Have us the player experience this Humiliation and brutality. Break us down outmatch us give us some real weight to this scene. And when it?s all over well I would be hoping people would be fuming and going ?what the fuck!? You know Megaman X style! Or heck the original Blood Omen. Just make us suffer a bit more- yeah I am really getting carried away here I?m just going to stop now.

Bottom line; make the combat meaningful and something to master instead of it feeling light and flighty like a spectacle fighter. No attempts and injecting some cinematic experience bull. No removing control from the player unless it?s for the odd cutscene here and there (meeting Vorador) and even then you could give us the illusion of control for scenes like the resurrection or confronting Mobius and I am getting carried away again okay! I?m stopping!

I have two big ones.

First, I would love to see Grim Fandango remade or, at the very least, re-released. I've wanted to play this game for years but have never had to means to do so and I think a remake being released through Steam would be a great way to make sure this games doesn't become lost to time.

My second one is a game I have played (and loved): Jet Force Gemini. I think this game has held up pretty well considering it's age, but I can tell when playing it that it's design was limited by the N64. This is mainly through the awkward shooting controls which would be an easy fix for current twin-sticked game controllers. I was hoping for years that it would get an Xbox Live HD re-release ala Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie, but alas nothing. I do think however a full remake would be beneficial and could give Microsoft a strong "new" IP. (Although, with this all said I'm sure they'd ruin the charm and pulpy atmosphere of the original and turn it into a gritty Gears of War knock-off....)

Kabuki Warrior for the NES, if done by Suda 51.

Seriously tho, Legend of Dragoon for Ps1 would look great if updated character models were added.

Heretic and Hexen would sure do well with an update for me. I don't actually want a remake, as they would likely end up taking all kinds of mechanics from modern shooters, and their differences from said shooters are the second biggest reason I like them, next to nostalgia. Keep the grainy graphics and the 2 1/2-D dungeons, keep the old-fashioned midi soundtrack, I want as authentic a retro experience as possible. I just want them to update the code so I can play them on my amazing modern supercomputer. Maybe someone already has somewhere, it wouldn't surprise me, but I wouldn't know where to look for it...
If all you want is the original game but with a wrapper to play it on modern computers without needing Dosbox or something akin to that, just download a Doom Engine Source Port like ZDoom [http://zdoom.org/Download] or something, copy the .wad files from Hexen or Heretic into the same directory as the source port, and bam. Done. You can now play Heretic and Hexen in their original forms at 1080p (or whatever resolution you fancy) and with WASD-controls and stuff.

On-topic: Personally, I'd love to see updates of the first three Ace Combat games on the PS1. Granted, I know there was a remake of AC2 on the 3DS, but sadly it seems to try to shove in the annoying "press button to immediately jump behind airplanes and win" mechanic from Assault Horizon instead of being a straight remake of the original. Just give me the original games, update the graphics and remaster the music, and put them on XBLA or PSN or Steam or something.

... oh, and with Ace Combat 3, I'd also love it if they used the original Japanese version as a base for a remake of that instead of the horribly cut down and neutered American/European version. I wouldn't even care if they didn't bother with re-dubbing it. Just translating everything and putting in English text instead of the original Japanese text (as well as throwing in subtitles for the cutscenes) would be fine by me.

EDIT: Sheesh, I just realized I posted this in a necro'd thread. The guy I was replying to probably has either found the solution or might not even care anymore at this point...

... *shrugs* Oh well.
