Most of the games for my old Acorn.

James Pond and Lotus Turbo Callenge 2.
I had a demo for James Pond 2 - Robocod on my PC. Its was Shareware restricted to 3 levels, but I found if you activated the invincability cheat it would then open up all the levels. Was a really hard and annoying game though.

anyone remember the game they made of Congo? Point and click adventure like MYST but with occasional FPS bits...really odd.

Apart from that, countless NES games seem to slip under the radar when they're pretty good. I've lost days to RC Pro-AM, for instance, but no one seems to remember that at all.

The first banjo-kazooie. No one person i know has heard of that game or played it. Epic fail on their behalf. Its either this or bomberman 64.

No Idea what it was called. But you were a giant robot and you could trash cities. It was on the 64.
'Blast Corps'. A game which, to this day, STILL has not been properly categorised into a genre.
I loved that game. I think I'd call it a... Driving... Action...

Anyway the game for me is Buck Bumble that game was awesome.
Oh....my....god.

I found someone who actually played that game, AND I loved it; the only thing I thought was really hard about it (growing up) was the bombardier beetles that shot fire out of their asses.

I bet you all that I can name one game none of you have ever heard of.
9: The Last Resort [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_(computer_game)]
Ever played it? I didn't think so. It is pretty quirky though, and hard to play on modern computers. Got it running though, once I managed to get a hold of it. Never properly beat it, because of a bug which meant I would have to play the entire game over again.

Anyway, it is a Myst-like puzzle game with the voices of Christopher Reeve(yes, Superman himself), Steven Tyler and Joe Perry (both from Aerosmith), James Belushi (you know who that was) and Cher. Oh, and it was produced by Robert De Niro.
Seriously, I'm not even making any of this up.

Blaze and Blade: Eternal Quest.
In all seriousness, it seems like me and my friend who played it with me are the only two person on this entire planet who have played it / know about it.
What is a shame, it was the best game on the PS 1.

Zero Tolerance on the Megadrive anyone? Anyone who knows me knows about it, because I go on about it for far too long. Not many people know about it before I show them though...

the only reason i even knew of this game was it came free with my new computer back in the early 2000's...and it kicked ass!!!! it was called MDK2 you switched between a sniper, a six-legged dog and a mad scientist....i have no idea what the story was but it was buckets of fun and thats all that mattered.

Does anyone else remember Tomba for PS1 or that 7-up game for Genesis? Those games were awesome.

Yes!!! I really liked the close combat series. Sometimes I really hate the new operating systems for not supporting the old pearls annymore (understandable, but still makes me sad)One of the best good'ol RTS games made.

Sorry, Scunner. Made a f*(k-up on the reply :S

Shogo: Mobile Armor Division [http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/shogo_mobile_armor_division]

This was my first online shooter. It was a Monolith shooter released in 1998, and It had full voice acting, an actual story, and two different endings -- all before Half Life. Unfortunately, it wasn't far enough before Half Life, and as a result, nobody bought it, and nobody knows what it is when you start talking about it. Anyway, in addition to the awesome (for the time) singleplayer, the multiplayer deathmatch is, to this day, unmatched by anything in its craziness. It's a shame the online community died around 2008, or I'd still be playing it today.
