Well, I recall a lot of what you said from Yahtzee's Manhunt review but whatever.
I had a hell of a time even convincing my mom to let me buy a T rated game when I was eleven. It was Smash Bro. Melee for gods sake! Come on Mario's not gonna be in a really terrible game!
I bought my first M game when I was fifteen. My mom looked at it intensely before she would let me play it. Blood and gore. Language. Finally my dad convinced her to let me get it. This was MGS: The Twin Snakes. I think we'll all agree that the MGS games are not so bad. Not as bad as Manhunt.
I never had a problem with my parents looking at the content label. They would do that for any game. I don't know how they became so well informed, but other parents could take a lesson from mine. Then we could stop blaming games everytime someone flips a car.
