Super Metroid, the first really amazing game I ever played. Never before had I been so immersed by the atmosphere and actually enjoy listening to the music as well, that's a winning combination right there.

Lineage 2, it has many flaws and not as fast paced MMO like WoW but it was amazing at release and the design was superb. The new chronicles are awful, some things they did improve on but they also killed what made the game great when they tried to transform it into WoW. Also, the botters and farmers didn't help either. I wish I could show you chronicle 1 so you could see why I would defend it.

Okami, sure I'll defend Mass Effect and Oblivion normally, but you talk shit on Okami and I will find you, rip out your spine, and proceed to do horrible things to your mother with it ... or just tell you why it's awesome, either or.

Can't really think of any, I can pick flaws out of even my all-time favourite games.

There's quite a few game's I'll make an effort to defence though, usually to push off preconceptions. Like a lot of people say WoW and Fallout 3 are bad for the wrong reasons.

Saints Row 2.

It's probably my #3 favorite game, but the top 2, Fallout 3 and Castlevania:SOTN, are pretty universally liked, so I rarely have to "defend" them.

Saints Row 2 divides people because you'll often find the GTAIV vs. Saints Row 2 argument, and I'm in the camp that thinks GTAIV sucks balls while Saints Row 2 is almost deliriously fun.
Same here on the Saint's Row 2 > GTA4 thing. Otherwise, there are a lot of games I would defend if given UNJUST criticism, otherwise I really don't care.
