Depressingly enough, Morrowind. I really *want* to like that game. I'm a big fan of so many other sandboxy RPGs. Love them to bits. But try as I might I just couldn't stay focused.

Assassins Creed, it's a 15 hour game with 15 minutes of original gameplay that you do over and over and over again

ooh, that's an easy one, The most boring game that I've ever played would have to be Kingdom hearts 2.

I don't need a two hour long tutorial, Thank you.

Just for the sake of accuracy you understand...
I second this.

Any RPG. It's the turn based combat and the fetch-quests.
So, wait.. you hate RPG's that have turn based combat and fetch quests? Or you hate all RPG's because you were misguided in the idea that they had to be turn based and have fetch quests?

I mostly agree, mainly because I hate anything fantasy related.
And, do you think that RPG's have to be "fantasy related"?

I'm not sticking up for RPG's. I'm just kind of chuckling to myself because you guys are not even sure what they are, it would seem.

As for games that bore me.. games based off of physical sports, such as baseball or football bore me to no end, as do their real life counterparts.
Wow. You cut off part of my quote mentioning which RPGs I like (which were, in fact, non fantasy RPGs), making me wonder if you're deliberately being stupid just to make a point.

Or, "Games that you find boring, because, y'know, you found them boring." Assuming someone has a different opinion is doing it just to be cool is... Moronic? I disliked Bioshock, and lots of people loved it. Yet, I really like Halo, Half-Life, Mass Effect and a lot of other really popular games mentioned in this post. I really can't speak for anyone else, but I doubt anyone feels "cool" because they found a game to be boring. : /

I must say those games that require you to take turns battling.
like LOTR game and all of those RPG fantasy ones

it's boring, unrealistic, and most of the attacks are lame.

i hate them

and i also find any racing game that isn't Juiced 2 boring

i dont know..tell me what level didnt have some conveniently place 'block' in your way for you to duck behind. It got tired looking at pretty much every area of the map scattered with little blocks. Sure the areas changed from citys, to some tunnels, to a house, but every level had that same concept behind it: toss in a few blocks to support their new 'cover system'.

Thats why i liked hl2 in some ways. Just use that gravity gun to pick up a barrel and duck and walk behind to as cover, if you wanted to. Gears of wars uses a cover system that you must use or you die in 2 seconds, and that just bored me. I'd get hit, wait a second for my health to recharge, then run to that block over there and shoot again.

Maybe cause i like those old school shooters where you just run and gun, cause i see myself doing that in pretty much any fps now and days.
It's a wartime era, of course there is going to be plenty of rubble 'conveniently placed'. The human survivors carpet bombed the entire world save for a few safe locations, and the Locust did the rest. Debris is everywhere and it's up to you to make use of it. You don't have to just use the blocks either. There are plenty of walls, rails, cars, etc. I once hid behind an oven that was out in the middle of the street for some reason.

The 'use cover or die' aspect of Gears of War adds a bit of realism to the fantasy genre where every other soldier is a superhero who can run headfirst into a gunfight and survive. I can understand why you might not like it because it forces you to use cover, but that doesn't make it boring, just irritating. It's something relatively new in the army of superpowered god-made-flesh soldiers that are on the cover of just about every FPS in the market now, since we don't use health packs anymore. If boring to you is something that's different from the mainstream then I guess there's nothing to do for it.
yah, i dislike realism in certain games. would figure why i dont like it too much. same could be said bout call of duty 4. Its fun to play with friends, but i still find it boring and lame to get shot 2-3 times and die.

The UFO:After series. They're great at the start and you really want to see them through to the end because of their storylines, but the combat in between is just SO tedious. The same goes for many great games, The bards tale, Dungeon siege (1, expansion pack and 2), Mount and Blade, Neverwinter nights... The combat just gets so tedious after a while and just feels like a block in the road until you finally get to advance the story again. I could probably list a hundred games that fall into that cathegory, it would be easier to just list the exceptions.

World of Warcraft was, without a doubt, the most boring game I've ever played. I have never before watched entire movies while playing a game. When I led a guild I'd just have to hang out in-game to make sure the guild members didn't bicker at each other too much and even the huge 40 man instances were boring at times. The only reason I stayed on as long as I did was to play with friends.

Hold up there champ... I didn't assume a thing.

I read the posts and developed an opinion of them, and since it would appear you're the opinion police - you should be backing me up.

edit: remembering a few more now:
Bioshock was pretty boring, I expected at least a bit of fun. Instead I just got the typical 'go from A to B... oh wait you can't, something random popped up in the way and now you have to go to C, kill some evil dude and backtrack' that I so dredgingly hate.
Dude, the vast majority of games are like that if you strip away the story and boil them down! If you find Bioshock boring just for those reasons then I think you've missed the point. You might as well be playing Wolfenstein 3D with that attitude.

Halo Series

Civilization 4

StarCraft

LEGO Chess =)

And to the poor soul who found EVE boring:

You are an epic fail. EVE is one of THE most fun game I've ever played. People like you don't understand depth and teamwork, which is probably why you didn't like the combat; you never faced anything harder than an empire rat and never learned to tank and customize ships and fight skillfully, knowing when to deploy missiles, use drones, use Electronic warfare, know how to counteract EW, et cetera.

WTF (Work Time Fun) for the psp
you diddifferent tasks-chopping wood, shooting people to make them fall in love you know, your nomral daily tasks at work. The game seemed more like a chore then fun minigames, and you did it for minimum wage so you could buy gumballs and ramen and ramen timers, and a couple very odd videos staring an asian girl or asain man...they're hard to explain...
