I was super disappointed by Brink and Alpha Protocol. I looked forward to both of them for so long and then they were both rather poor. ESPECIALLY Alpha Protocol.

FF XIII and Dragon Age 2 I'd say Black Ops as well but I expected it to be bad and it was so I wasn't disapointed

Dragon Age 2, by a very wide margin.
I, as a stark raving bioware fangirl actually had to admit it was not really good.
I think the discussion has been done to death, but really I still try to come upt with excuses for it in my dreams...

The other is Fallout 3. Not because it was in any way bad, but because I had to buy it to realise I really really do not like sandbox games...

Every single Silent Hill game since Origins, and especially Origins, that game was just unacceptable. Camera was shit and the whole weapon degradation thing was stupid, since when do jack hammers break after a few hits?

Brutal Legend disappointed me, I mean it's still a good game, but there were very few things about it that I liked that barely made up for the rest that irritated me. The driving wasn't that great and the stage battles were getting old very fast.

I'm playing Fear 2 right now and it's awful. I really wasn't a fan of the first one (at least not on the PS3). I'm not sure if certain things are glitches or if they're supposed to be scary sequences.

And Dragon Age 2. Origins was the first RPG I ever completed and was great. DA2 on the other hand was probably my introduction into how RPG sequels get worse.

Dragon Age (gasp)

It isn't that it isn't good, it is, but the story, characters, voice acting, and similarities to other movies and games bothered me.

It's basically Lord of the Rings with a KOTOR twist, the characters are all flat, the voice acting is sub par, and the gameplay is a little boring after an hour.

Not to be an elitist douche (which I probably have become), but I was expecting a lot more from the guys who have KOTOR and Mass Effect under their belt.

You could argue that KOTOR had basically the same gameplay, but I liked the complexity of the battle system in KOTOR as opposed to pressing 3 buttons of interchangeable attacks and spells.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed was the first game that comes to mind. Seriously, the trailers looked great, and then when I actually played my first comments were: 1. Why does the game look like I'm playing it on a PS1? 2. Why can I literally not walk in a straight line?
I dis-agree, it was the sequel, it was just terrible

Black and White 2 and Spore were two big disappointments to me...they are the only games I followed extensively for a long time before their release. I found them to be...okay, but I was expecting amazing.

My biggest disappointment remains Far Cry 2.

Now Far Cry 2 wins points for it's stunning visuals, environment and immersion and overall it wasn't a terrible game. But it could have been so much better. The AI, the respawning times, the story, the malaria, the incredibly fast weapon degridation, the needless repetition... it goes on, so many game design mistakes. Reletively minor things that the rest of the game, (the visual design etc.) surely warranted getting right. But they didn't. And what could have been awesome was downgraded to mediocre. Disappointing.

Mount and Blade. Unlike some people I didn't mind paying for the so called "expansion pack" Warband. In fact I always figured that since the original was so cheap for such a good game I was still paying less overall for a great game. However with the recent release of With Fire and Sword, I now officially hate the development team >.< Well anyway I still like the first one I just think that those sell out money grabbers don't deserve the money I payed for that horrible game and if I could I'd send it back and get a refund.

L.A. Noire. Cole Phelps is probably one of the most annoying characters I have played in a game. His massive overreactions when "doubting" annoyed me to no end. The game was also a bit repetitive. Search crime scene A. Make connections. Interrogation. Closed case. The side missions were simply driving to different places and playing Red Dead Redemption. That said, the story was pretty good and the world was both stunningly beautiful and accurately portrayed. Still, I don't feel like it lived up to the massive hype.
Same for me. It was better than a lot of other games, but it just didn't live up to my expectations...

The worst for me were bioshock 2 and red faction guarilla, bioshock 2 lacked much of the story that made the orginal so good sad thing is from old design docks the game orginally had a much better story that got scrapped shortly before release it still wasn't a bad game combat and enemies were improved but the story was pretty meh, red faction I loved the orginal 2 was okay and I figured mars rebellion it'll be like 1 but betrer wrong horrid game by any standards lack luster story barely any characterisation and bad combat and vehicles the only decen thing was the destruction but that can't save a game I picked it out of the bargain bin so it didn't hurt too much.

The Eragon movie game. It was actually bought for me before I saw the movie, and at the time I was a huge fan of the Eragon series. As soon as I played it, I wanted to vomit, repeatedly. Then I saw the movie... oh god...
I could not force myself to stay awake during that movie.

Literally. I was out like a light halfway through.
I loved the books and I am really excited for the 4th book but the movie was a massive let down, I actually walked out and the game was just.....bleh

Brawl wins that poison cake from me. The ads looked really beautiful and exciting so as a big fan of Melee I was super hyped, but as soon as I started playing I noticed some big ass flaws and the lack of depth. Said to myself that I will never going to get hyped up again.

I failed when I heard of Stracraft 2. Blizzard finally following up on one of my favourite RTS games made me hype a little. Once again a really poor quality sequel, especially the crappy scripts for the cinematics and super lame cliche story.
