Mass Effect 3 (the original one) - Loved the ending, had no problems at all with it and doesn't understand why people ***** so much about it. I liked it. Was a good end to my experience with Mass Effect 3.

Halo: Reach - Just the way the end came together with the beginning of Halo: Combat Evolved made me go "Woooo!".

EDIT: Also, Red Dead Redemption and Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Metal Gear Solid 4, for all it's plotholes, and nano machine nonsense, the ending left me absolute awe. The kind of awe you get after watching a really thought provoking movie, like Requiem for a Dream, or Grave of the fireflies.

I've never experience anything like that it in a videogame to date. It's was that kind of special experience that really makes you feel.

MGS 3 was the same as well, especially the graveyard scene at the end. Hideo Kojima really knows how to pull on those heart strings.

Orignal Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 (I stared at the TV, and by the time the main menu came up; I was speechless)

The endings of any Half-Life game

Portal 1 and Portal 2

Bastion, By The Way; If you haven't played Bastion, go play Bastion

The Stanley Parable, Every single damned ending

The Stanley Parable, Again

(not great but worth metioning, The space ending of Catherine)

Mass Effect 2 was probably the ending that had me the most pumped ever. Damn, I was so full of adrenaline.
Mass Effect 3 on the other hand left me in silence... but for the opposite reason! I've made my peace with the EC, though.

Fatal Frame 2 left me pretty shocked (if you go for the "true" ending). Though I thought the addition of a "happy ending" on the XBox version kind of cheapened the plot. Haven't checked out the Wii Version yet, but I'm hoping it's the same.

I'm probably going to get flak for this, but I actually really, really liked the ending to Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Well, all of the endings. I got "Love Lost" my first run through and it was pretty emotional. Maybe it's because of my daddy issues, but seeing Cheryl (Heather) finally able to come to terms with her psyche was touching.

Mass Effect & Batman Arkham City. Both left me breathless and tingling all over. And I might add I think Arkham City had the best ending for any Batman story. At least one involving those characters.

Portal 2 ending(the entire game actually) made me so impressed that I felt like I was in space.

Red Dead Redemption is probably the most brilliant ending I've seen in a videogame, if I haven't been spoiled I would have cried.

Metal Gear Solid 3 from the monologue of the Boss to the ending of the credits left me without words, easily the most beautiful and at the same time sad thing I saw in a videogame.

Half Life 2: Episode 2 left me in shock, I didn't said a word about what happened, I just stared at the screen in silence.

Shadow of the Colossus was also insanely depressing

The end of Shadows of the Damned had me awestruck... But tha might be because there is a boss fight after what I thought was the ending which was followed by some more credits and 2 more endings... Oh, I forgot, Spoiler Alert!

A thousand times this. That menu music is just so... fitting. Combined with the paper art that fills the screen as you progress, it gives you the perfect opportunity to reflect on what happened. Every ending is really emotionally affecting as it is, but listening to the quiet and calm Wiosna really puts a cherry on top, y'know? Especially when you get a good ending, when the song seems to be saying "it's over, now it's time to relax and celebrate".

I would also like to add every Kingdom Hearts game, except Coded, which I've never played, as well as Persona 3 and Persona 4.

That game was surprisingly good! Some of the music was less than great, but overall a really pleasant experience. [sup][small][sub]...I got Emi.[/sub][/small][/sup]

Bastion was fantastic. Astounding in every way. I love that game. Easily one of my favourites from now on. In fact, I loved it so much I went and bought the collectors pack on their website. I got it today and I couldn't be more happy. I'm wearing the shirt right now! God, I love Bastion.

Good credits music often makes me do this. Deus Ex: Human Revolution, AC2 and ACB all made me stare at the credits in awe.

Restore ending doesn't exactly fix things if you know what mean. Say If your arm was cut off would you wanna go back in time and live it all over again?

Yep, Journey. I've never seen a more perfect ending to a game.

Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and Resident Evil 4 also left me speechless, but that was because the end credits themselves were terrific.

Half Life 2: E2's ending was more shock, and curses to you Valve for shamelessly delaying E3, a pox I say, a pox!

Have to agree on Spec Ops: The Line, just... wow, that ending was so satisfying, a story told in it's completeness that didn't end happily.

Mass Effect 2's ending is the best of the series (unless they end up taking a B5 approach with ME3, I would pay money to hear Shepard yelling 'Now get the Hell out of our Galaxy!') and just leaves you pumped to go on a rampage in ME3, which kind of makes the whole 'Nope, you're actually loosing' of ME3 all the more hard hitting.

Gotta go with Portal 2
"PART 5! BOOBY TRAP THE BUTTON" or whatever Wheatley said caught me completely off guard, and I honestly said "oh shit!" and then when that bit of the cieling caved away revealing the moon in all its glory I thought to myself "oh shit, we're doing this. WE ARE REALLY DOING THIS. FUCK YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *shoots moon*" with a big grin on my face. And then the moment where the robotic voice said "Caroline deleted" I got that sinking feeling in my stomach. Probably my favorite ending to date

Also the end to Arkham City, I didn't think they would have the guts to go there

Man, I clapped a little bit. Such a fantastic game.
I was more confused as to why
Clayface was the last boss.

Just seemed out of place.

Clayface appeared in the previous game(Not as a boss)and it was hinted at earlier when you fought Joker and his goons, if you activated Detective vision you would notice Joker has no bones.

+1 for Persona 4.

When I wasn't playing it, I was researching it, when I wasn't researching it I was talking about it to everyone I could. The game consumed me and I had never felt that way before or since, I actually danced when it was over, I HATE dancing.

Not a lot, to be honest. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, lol; if anything, one of the only instances that would result in me "staring at the credits" completely stunned would be due to a genuinely incredible surprise, and, usually, that would include either an excruciating cliffhanger or a simply abrupt, puke-inducing conclusion, neither of which are particularly any good (although there are some exceptions to the former, of course).

Whatever the case, the only games I could name off the top of my head that did leave me at least a little breathless after transitioning to the credits would probably have to be Mother 3 and Portal 2. Other than those two, though..

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

A combination of being pumped about the events of the final play sequence and pissed off about the cliffhanger they all of a suddenly dropped led to the kind of brain confusion that leaves one sitting there unsure how to react.
