Portal 2 did it. The ending was beautiful! Also Half Life 2: Episode 2. Fuck, that was a sad ending.

Assassin's Creed
It was around three in the morning because I'd gotten the 'one more page' thing going. Seeing all the symbols on the wall that late after all that effort.
Yeah good stuff...

I usually like to watch all the credits but after Alice: Madness Returns I really though thanks to the people who made that game.

The dam credits went for thirty bloody minutes though.

-Bastion (such a touching story)
-Final Fantasy VI (just played it for the first time recently - a bit grindy and technical issues of the ROM of the Emulator which almost made me quit the game but i had already about 40 hours in it so i literally suffered to make the game work (about 5-9 hours of fixing the savegames and shit)and see the propper ending of the story and it was Worth IT )
-Half-Life Episode 1 and 2 (amazing additions to the story)
-Assassin's Creed 1, 2, Brotherhood, Revelations (amazing games)
-Prince of Persia Sands of Time and The Two Thrones (absolutely loved 'em and their ridiculously good story)
-Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos,Frozen Throne (tragic story but also - eternal in my heart)

Bastion. It took me 10 minutes to choose an ending, after briefly explaining it to everyone in my family and using their limited experience to make a calculated decision. The credit music was awesome, too.

The ending to Halo 2 left me and my male friend in shock and awe.... because we didn't expect it to end like that.

Silent Hill 2, on my very first playthrough I got the water ending. I cried and thought "god damn, that was the most fantastic game I have ever played." I then sat at a loss of what to do, kinda just sitting in awe for a while, then thinking that no other game I own can now match up to that.

Everyone's writing the same thing so Ill be different (mostly because I didnt like mass effect or half life)
-EUIII: the one time where I was playing the Mamluks (Egypt), made a marriage with the equally large and more powerful Ottomans, 200 years later my leader is first inline to the Ottoman throne and I annex the whole lot of them. I ran around my room for a little bit to help me deal with that awesomeness
-Team Fortress 2: Playing the Scout and running the flag back and forth three times on 2fort by quad jumping up the hole at the entrance of the opposite team fort (they didnt really figure out that I can do that). OR that time I was playing a spy (I am verybad as as spy) and killed 5 people on a payload game by just mashing stab.
-The first fight in Batman Arkham Asylum, holy goddamn Batman!
-The Bioshock intro (I didnt care much for the rest of the game)
-The first Baiten Katos: No lie, the main character betrays you. Like the guy that youre leading. I was in shock, I have never seen that before.
-Tactics Ogre for the GBA: Best game ever. ever. ever. I didnt just like it, I was obsessed with it. When I finally finished it I was so extremely sad that its weird.

I guess I could say Mass Effect 3. Just played the entire trilogy back-to-back for the first time, and enjoyed every moment of it. After an amazing ending (yeah, I actually loved the ending) to a fantastic trilogy, watching the credits and reflecting on the 3 games was a sense of awe indeed.

By far the most amazing ending to a game, complicated, sad and at the same time happiness for the victory.

Not some dumb video of boss slaying or we are the champions until next time! la la la, no a real proper ending.

Rayman Origins for me. It was so ridiculously hard, my friend and I worked like animals for many weeks to complete the game, and when we finally did... well... it was amazing.

You don't see games like that most of the time.

EDIT: oh hey, 1K posts. Sweet.

Castlevania: Lords of shadows.

Not going to spoil the ending because FUCK ME is it an ending, I'm going to ambiguously say "When the window breaks" I actually gasped out loud.

Amazing game, amazing ending and I cannot wait for LOS2.

Katawa Shoujo after nearly all of the endings.

Then ME 1+2 and Halflife left me with a crazy satisfied feeling.

But nothing i've played recently beats Bastion. That last walk while you carry your traitor friend.. Just pure awesomeness transformed into bits and bytes.
