Starting up Kingdom Hearts after years of it sitting on a shelf, I prepared myself for amazing combat, a fun story, and a whole bunch of Disney characters. The game passed the logos and the title screen appeared. This started playing:

I wept like a small child. This game was from a simpler time of my life. Before I had to worry about grades or politics or social status. It was from a carefree childhood. Nostalgia came to me in a wave of sound. I've never had anything remind me of the past more than that song.
I suppose that it isn't the game itself that caused that sensation. It was personal experience and memory association, but the fact stands that I had never before cried while playing a game. Kingdom Hearts holds that sole honor.
