Gears 2: The whole convoy scene at the start with the piss poor rail shooting section shooting down giant green turds hurling at me made me realize Epic had gone the cinematic route over gameplay, forcing me to play one gimmicky section after another...-_-

Alan Wake: when GOD started talking to me...0o

Mirror's Edge: the first time you get a hold of a weapon...still a good game though...=/

Borderlands: after killing Jason Voorhees for the 50,000th time (don't like referencing Yahtzee but he was right on the money with this).

Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2

It wasn't supposed to be like this. It wasn't supposed to tend this way. The premise was so simple; make DoAX, but with even better graphics and more features. It was supposed to be Xanadu, man. Not this. Not this monstrosity.

Overlord 2. It actually seemed pretty fun when I played the demo.

However, the minions are practically useless, the gameplay just flat-out gets old after a while, and you don't feel like a true "bad guy". In fact, I'd say the people you're fighting ar emore evil than you.

The one thing the game had going for it was the humor. The twist to who the true bad guy is was, I thought, quite hilarious.

Right on the money...
I bought it thinking it would be my new Dead Rising (I played that game to death for months), but when I actually played it, realising that no matter how many powers I had, nothing really changed, I just stopped playing. I couldn't figure out how they had made it so dull.

Also, Far Cry Instincts. You spend the first third of the game sneaking around, setting traps, and shooting people through floorboards, which was just what I hoped it to be; one man's fight for survival as he tries to escape. Then, BAM! I'm injected with something, and now I'm a mutant with super strength and speed who can jump the height of a building. Where did that idea come from...?

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. I felt like they took the atmosphere and play style of the first game, and then took a massive crap all over it. Not to mention the fact that the whole game is easier than a two dollar hooker. I felt like they just tried to copy Just Cause and re-skin everything to make it their own.

Err... And which bit was that again?
Way early in the game you have a giant booming voice teach you how to use a flashlight while light shines down from above.

I mean, it was just too silly for me.

I still liked the game, but from then on any chance this game had to be scary was completely vaporized...lol

This.
Although I've never played Just Cause, I played the second one and thought, "wow this is what Mercenaries 2 should have been."
Instead it's just the first one with slightly better character models, less fog, more colour, and less missions.

Final Fantasy XII. Oh, but I'm not a hater. In fact, I really like FF12. But I sure as hell do know where it went wrong(you know, besides Vaan.)

First of all, what was FFXII? A decent offline-MMO. It did alright as a game, but it fell short of what it promised.
What did it promise?

EPIC AIRSHIP BATTLES!
OLDER, MORE MATURE MAIN CHARACTER!(Basch)
DEVELOPPED BY THE GUY WHO BROUGHT YOU FINAL FANTASY MOTHERFUCKING TACTICS!

So what went wrong? The head honcho quit. They took out the airship battles. They added Vaan.

God dammit Square...

What? Only one person saying Pokemon? I'm surprised. But on-topic, Modern Warfare 2. So much hype for such a shitty game.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

I hated it after the first mission for the game's horrible innovations in controls: a "dynamic" cover system and the inability to crouch. After figuring out that I could turn these ingenius functions of and play it like... well, pretty much just play it. It was pretty good for the next 10 missions or so, then it forced me into a sneaking mission with it's lovely AI. After pissing me off with that, the ended the game in a very long fight with instakilling enemies and one cover spot.

I never did the sneaking except for the part at the beginning, I was always Ray i think (the guy who prefers to shoot everything) and never played as the other one. I mean come on you can use dynamite in one hand and a gun in the other. Although even the gun battles at their worst were less painfull then the entire first game.
You are actually forced to use Thomas in the third last mission in the game. Which is bullshit, since any sensible person would have used Ray and bought him a personal armory, leaving Thomas with a rusty pistol and a scripted places only lasso. So you basically have to sneak. Which is also bullshit, since the enemies always see you. And ending the mission with a scene where you only have one exit from a barn, with 8 enemies outside aiming at the door didn't exactly make the mission more fun.

Bioshock. I was told "OMG RPG!". What I got was a shooter with magic abilities and upgrades.

ME2. It feels neutered. No balls whatsoever.

Supreme Commander 2. Confusing and claustrophobic.

The Suffering Ties that Bind. Such a flawless horror game that needed no sequel.

Bad Company 2's story and characters. When did 'fuck' become such a popular word in Bad Company? And Operation Aurora plus the Russians invading the United States...no one's done that before right?

Assassin's Creed II plot twist. Won't spoil it but if you've played game...seriously what the hell.

Red Alert 3. It was so cartoonyish and boring.

GTA 4. Boring, the plot was terrible, and there was nothing to do besides getting drunk and having your buttocks carved up by NOOSE every thirty seconds.
