Over the course of time, many a good game was wrought at the hands of developers. Many were good, most were ok, and some were horrific. Among the good games, however, there lies two categories. Those that lasted on the course of history, and those that didn't.
The Escapist as a whole remembers a lot of games and discusses them frequently (particularly those Valve made). What are great games that nobody ever talks about? If I had to say there was one series that is woefully underdiscussed, I would go with the Megaman Battle Network series. Yes, the plot was stale to the point of being formulaic, and yes, the sequels were stagnant and boring, but the game featured an extremely innovative combat system and great bosses. It's not even like it was unknown or anything, I know at least 5 kids my age in my town played it back when it was big. Did the series just suck and I didn't get the memo?
What games do you wish were talked about more?
