Clayfighters 63 1/3.
I played the heck out of it.
Me too. The moves were crazy easy to pull off and I loved the character designs, even if they looked like shit against 3D backgrounds. I was sooo hyped for that one because I loved the SNES version and Nintendo Power did like three stories on it (it got delayed and retooled and delayed and delayed). I couldn't get anyone to play it with me because to everyone else it clearly sucked. I wish I could have gotten ahold of the special rare Blockbuster edition because it had exclusive fighters and is worth some money now.
Another one that gets shit on a lot that I love was Shadows of the Empire. Floaty controls, crappy camera, hard to aim, cheap deaths.. but man did it look and sound fantastic for its time. I played that Swoop bike level like fifty times because I loved it so much. And the pulse cannon was pure badassery once you got it. And that junkyard level where you fought IG-88 scared the crap out of me.
I also liked Zelda 2 a lot, but I don't that one technically qualifies as "bad" just different. Hard and weird, but different.
