STALKER: SoC still gives me nightmares from time to time. It's just so bleak, and the bloodsuckers..ooh.

When I was a kid, however, it was Ocarina Of Time. Tell me you weren't scared by the zombies!

The Shadow Temple still scares the crap out of me. The music is haunting.

Also: Resident Evil 4 on Pro mode. Lack of ammo makes it scarier.

the second one kind of ruined that, turning what could have been scary scenes into quicktime events.

Developers:
A game isn't fucking scary if I can kill everything that comes at me.

having said that I have a friend who during the first Resi Evil game in the L shaped corridor, the dogs came through the window, he screamed, threw his controller down and dove behind the sofa. This was at 1am and he was 28 at the time. He still hasn't lived it down.
