Games that would make awsome movies

The ACTUAL Resident Evil 1 would make a good movie. It certainly played out like one. I know of an Author who published (like, in book-stores) Fan Fiction involving Resident Evil. It was VERY well written, and could certainly make a great series of movies. If someone could take Resident Evil's 1, 2, and 3, and turn them into one Epic Movie, (Not shrinking the plots down at all - I'm talking a good 5 hour long movie!) I would pay 20 to see it. Because Capcom wrote them horribly, but in the right hands, the concept is brilliant and highly original - for what it's worth.

EDIT: No, not "original" ANYMORE, and sure it's basically a Romero rip-off, but in the ancient times of 1998, that kind of game was pretty original. It's got a good story. Really! Am I the only one?!

Also: the Metal Gear Series (although it already is practically a movie)

Another good one would be 'Prey', aliens kidnap pretty much the entire world, they have a regular person saving the day, and can go into spirit powers and use a bow. I think it would do ok.

I want to bring Stanley Kubrick back from the dead to make a Alpha Centauri movie, just to see how he'd portray Deidre's conversations with Planet and the effects of the mind worms.

EDIT: Also the ascent to transcendence that will happen at the end, where Deidre becomes one with Planet and in turn transforms mankind into a race of gods.

Bioshock is being made into a movie...by the guy that made 28 weeks later.

Prince of Persia has the potential to be good since they're doing what they did with Pirates of the Caribbean and only using the source as inspiration, pulling a few good things from it and then doing their own thing. It also has potential because Jordan Mechner wrote it, and not only did he create Prince of Persia in the first place, he's also a damn talented writer, as proven by The Last Express.

No game should be made into a movie because they always get fucked up and the only thing that could be loosely realted to the games its supposed to be based on is the Title itself. Take for example any movie directed by Uwe Boll.

Let me introduce everyone to the wonderful world of logical fallacies. For example:
A+B=C, C therefore B.

Just because there have been very few good video game based movies done to date (in fact I can only think of 2), doesn't mean it's impossible to make a good video game based movie.
My choices:
Metroid
Fallout
StarCraft
CnC: Red Alert (discounting Red Alert 3)

Granted all of these would have to be handled carefully to ensure successful medium transition.
