I once had a dream... a dream of a massive open world filled with players, where if you shot someone in the head they where instantly dead.

Immagine an MMOFPS mixed with the style of counterstrike. no leveling only crafting. no money only exchange trade (example: raw materials for a better weapon) Huge purely player created world with skill based combat (instead of stat based combat...). now wouldnt that be awesome?

Like stalker only in a huge seamless world with realistic damage models and only players.

Now people are going to think about being unable to get into the game, But since anyone can shoot anyone at any time clans would naturally from. all in game towns would be player owned and operated. players would police them selfs. to prevent rampages if you get killed you're out of the game for a certain amount of time (lets say a few hours) which would make players cautious.

now people will say "but then the stats are just on the crafted weapons etc. , this will be partly true, however, someone with the beginning pistol can own someone with a rifle in one headshot.

Without any major non player threats (there will be animals that can be hunted and can be dangerous but no real npc adversaries) looting would be done from downed players, making people even more cautous about beginning a fight in a populated area.

people would be able too build and steal building which would make people who want to make a settlement naturally band together. respawning would be done on either a standard respawn point (a few over the large map) which would be the only points where pvp isn't possible, and at player created spawns if you are part of the spawn community.

If a player created town is conquered the spawn shifts too another "clans" control effectively taking over the town (spawn would be in a town hall). selecting a defensible position for you town would be important.

There would be a carry limit so if someone starts looting stuff from a town it would take alot of time giving downed clans the chance to retaliate with minimal losses.

there would surely be more to work out but thats the basic idea for what i would like to see made.

A game where you play as the Aliens for once.
Alien vs Predator - you get to play as the Aliens there. Also as the aliens, too.

OT: This game

I don't know why they never finished it (aside from the studio closing down).
That looks fuckin' awesome.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, an open world game where you play as a dragon. Not a guy riding a dragon, or one who turns into a dragon but an actual dragon itself. I'm thinking something RPG style, with robust character creation and maybe a class system.

Cracked brought up the idea of a Star Wars game centred on Han Solo. With it being a open-ended sandbox game, allowing you to perform various criminal activities, such as smuggling.

Also, whilst playing through Uncharted 3 the other day, I reached an epiphany...The Uncharted series could have been an absolute kickass Indiana Jones series instead. If the setting, weaponry, etc was set in and around the 1930's and 40's, the characters actually having characters and whatnot. Hell, I know Yahtzee pointed out how similar Uncharted 3 was to The Last Crusade, but he didn't mention the half of it. I lost count of not only similar motifs, but whole scenes, characters, actions...Christ, why not simply have made a Last Crusade game and improve the whole thing? friggin waste of potential that was.
I have, for years, wanted a new, next-gen, Indy game. Hell, I loved the Emperor's Tomb. It had fucking badass hand to hand combat, 100x better than Uncharted, but Uncharted really, really nailed the look, and feel of the Indy movies. I really want a new game, possibly even made by Naughty Dog, because they certainly know how to squeeze every drop of power from a PS3, based on the Indy series. With Indy himself voiced by Harrison Ford. With a cameo from Sean Connery. As God. Or, just Indy's dad.

Battlefront 3

Warhammer 40K: Battlefront

Two games I would love to see, and still don't know why they haven't made them.

I played minecraft online, I can see the endless griefing and rage already/
Edit:Not to say it wouldn't be fun. Sounds like Ultima

Give me a "Fightmania" I want a crossover fighting game where you throw in characters from all your major titles (SSF,MVC,MC,BlazeBlue,Tekken,GuiltyGear,Soul Caliber hell even Skullgirls.) you build the game as a Air-dash fighter very MVC style and then your not done just yet you have loads of extra novelty characters and guest characters from other franchises so you can also play as Ezio,Big Daddy,Scorpio,Max Payne,Jim Raynor,Gordon Freeman,Kratos,Cirno,Heavy Weapons Guy,Drow Ranger,Prophet,L4D cast and you also need your characters from everything else.
Obviously at this point I am just dreaming but I seriously want a fighting game that maybe allows you to develop your own characters and import them with move sets and all your animations and character files and then use this character in your game.(Think M.U.G.E.N but set up as a already made game)You could have your own private leagues if you thought a character was to broken (Say I could have a league with my friends where we only put in approved characters that we agree are balanced for us.)

TL;DR
Fighting game Super Marvel vs. Capcom vs. Tekken vs. Everything with a system that allows people to create and add characters to the roster so they can use them to play with your friends.

(Okay honestly just give me a fighting game in which I can play as Nagato then I will be fine.)

A good Warhammer 40k third or first person shooter. Fire Warrior was almost a joke and Space Marine was uninspired, I mean really, in the grim darkness of the future there is only orks in factories!? Fuck you THQ, do a friggen Horus Heresy game already.

But the game I would really like to see or make would be similar to Mount and Blade (you manage troops and personally lead them into real time battle) but it would have current gen graphics and more significantly a bit of a cinematic touch to the play style. You control an officer leading a section then a platoon then entire regiments in battle. You can only see whats in front of you and what map information has been gathered by your scouting. Combat between regiments would incorporated special commander abilities (rather like Kessen 2). If you effed up and your guys are getting cut to pieces things go monochromatic and your commander is vulnerable to death and loosing the game. I love Mount and Blade but adding active special abilities for commanders, upping the graphics, and incorporation the player into truly massive battles would bring it to the next level.

Oh, sorry then. I didn't mean to sound like I was calling you out, just to point out your seeming hostility that centered around a pc basis. I guess I was wrong to call out that pc elitism crap and I sincerely apologize.
Didn't mean to sound hostile with my reply there. Was just trying to be clear about my stance on it. :p It's just that I can't possibly imagine someone preferring a gamepad over a mouse and keyboard for a shooter because it's 'too responsive'. I mean, how can you have 'too responsive' for an fps, where responsiveness is one of the most important things?
It's understandable I guess. I can understand the guy because maybe he's not so use to pc in comparison to consoles. Bottom-line, I got to shut my mouth[stop my hands] when getting into others business. I mean I defending him when it really didn't matter.

Loading Ready Run: The Video Game. A retro side-scrolling action game in which you attack creepy dolls, strange hats, and, as boss-battles, the LRR crew. Come on, you know you want it.

Also, Knights Of The Old Republic 2. Can't wait. :p
It exists dude.

More multiplayer open-world RPGs would be nice. Like if you could have friends play wth you in Skyrim or New Vegas.

I've always wanted a large scale WW1 game, like properly large scale, where you send tens of thousands of men over the top for a single push, where before that push you have to build the railroads to delieve the heavy artillery and dig mines. sigh a man can dream.

Also a proper sequel to sea dogs! goddamnit why has no one made a pirate game to stand up to that using modern technology, one where for the bording action, the entire ship is modelled and everyman in the crew actually fights, where you'd have to lead your men from poop deck down into the lower gun decks. Where you get more than the couple of standard 'officer' post to fill on the crew. Now I'm sad :(

A zombie survival strategy sim. Where you're not gunning them down but more of a focus on survival like scavenging supplies and choices like whether to hold up somewhere or be on the move and (and the traditional do you want to save somebody).
it's called urban dead, sweet game but requires much devotion of time

I can't believe that nobody has made a "dark" or heavy metal themed knockoff of the pokemon games...

A game that combines Battlefront and Empire at War might be cool. Have a galactic conquest map be a rts type thing, and battles would be a fps type thing.

Any game that gives some semblence of what happened to Sev in republic commando would be nice.
