Black is a very fun game if you can overlook the lack of multiplayer. The mechanics of the game very greatly reminded me of GoldenEye 007, more so than any recent Bond game. Basically you get ludicrous amounts of ammo for your weapons and everything explodes.

Startopia By muckyfoot studios.

Sublime game, Excellent humor...

no wonder no reviewer appreciated it.
Damn, that game is awesome. Just a shame it is so short. Once you have learned everything, and can build everything, you only have one mission to use it all on :/

I actually liked Spider-Man 3: The Game. Yes, the combat was not that good, and the story was meh. But the swinging... man, that is so fun. It was worth the purchase just to be able to swing around freely in Manhattan.

Grand Theft Auto IV

Halo Trilogy
I agree with both. Yes, the previous GTA games was all fun and crazy, but this went in a different direction. And I love it. A lot of people don't like the realism, but I think it is awesome. Although, they could have cut back on the rate of which your buddies want to hang out.
And if you want something crazy, buy Saints Row 2.

The Halo trilogy as well. While I love the games as is, they are made even better when you know a lot of the story. The books this game series spawned are incredible. And I am actually proud of owning the Spartan Helmet :p

LotR Conquest. I actually liked it and I see what people don't like about it but maybe it's just my fascination with Lord of the Rings in general.

Yes I am sure some of you will quote on me saying how much it sucks.

I quite enjoyed playing micro machines on the 64 with my cousins on 4 player, we always seemed to get a laugh out of it falling off pool tables or the kitchen bench, but I can see why reviewers wouldn't have been overly thrilled with it.

Spartan: Total Warrior was a game I rented on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the most fun games I've ever played. Aside from a frustratingly difficult escort mission in the middle, the entire games was about chopping your way through hordes of enemies while hordes of allies battle around you. It was more visceral than games like Dynasty warriors as well, the shield bash moves hard a real heft to them.

It also had a completely awesome castle siege level about 3/4 of the way through where you get to scale the walls of a fortress on ladders right alongside hundreds of your allies while catapults rain around you. No game has ever recreated that scenario quite as well as that.
oh god I loved that, did that receive bad reviews?
that was a work of art, DAMN you critics!

man, i also liked that game, despite de atrocious story
IT doesn't have a horrible story... just horrible presentation of the fantastic story that they had...

>.> Dynasty Warriors made me go out and BUY the "Three Kingdoms" translation by Moss Roberts. The 1000+ page tale in three volumes telling the chinese history between 180ish AD and 270 AD

I'm having a pretty good time with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon right now. Mirror's Edge is alright too; it's not the greatest game ever, but it's not as bad as people say it is.
