Robot pit for the ps1. Ign gave it 6.5 but I don't care I still paly it today and I love it.
If you mean something from the 21st centuary then possibly Halo 3 always needs defending against half the population on the escapist.

Evil Dead: Regeneration got mediocre reviews, but it was worth playing just because of Bruce Campbell. Alter Echo had an interesting combat system and an alright story that made up for the game's hideously garish character designs. I really liked Star Wars Bounty Hunter, mostly because you got to play as Jango Fett.

The Force Unleashed might qualify for this. Reviews were mostly in the 7 range (which isn't bad mind) and I loved it. It was great fun and the story was excellent. One that definitely counts is Shadow the Hedgehog. Despite what everyone else thinks, the guns are awesome because it means you don't have to use that awful homing attack to kill enemies. Instead you can kill them without flying off the ledge by accident. The vehicles were rubbish though.

Others include XII (which I remember getting a ton of good reviews at the time, but gamerankings disgrees), Sonic Rivals 1/2 and a lot of Mega Drive games I got as a kid.

I'm probably gonna get killed by other Fallout fans for this, but I liked Fallout Tactics [for PC] and Brotherhood of Steel [PS2].

I enjoyed Doom 3, actually so much that I finished it twice despite of many reviews being quite negative due to the game being different from the first Dooms.

I quite liked Far Cry Vengeance on Wii, despite Official Nintendo Magazine giving it 36% =]

OK, so it wasn't as good as the other console's versions but it wasn't THAT bad, I enjoyed it at least...

Nox the old PC game, I loved it.
Finally, someone who shares my sentiments.... Nox was brilliant, but overshadowed by Diablo II

Others:

Quake 4 - I thought it was awesome, despite being a simple shooter, very fun.

KOTOR II - I thought everything about it (The outfits, the sabers, the character interactions, influence, the level design) were a great upgrade from the first...... but everyone seemed to hate it for the story (which I agree, was kinda lame). I think what bugs me about it, is that my influence with my companions really doesn't go anywhere in the end. Still, I thought it was great fun.

Does anyone remember Gungrave. I liked the first one by Sega. It was really short and I knew it wasn't a good game but there was just something about playing as a dude with a gun coffin that just drew me in. Having Yasuhiro Nightow do the the art work also helped.

Doom 3, I didnt set my expectations high though, i sort of pretended it wasn't squeal to the best FPS of all time and jsut played it as an average action horror fps and enjoyed it allot.

Turok (most current generation) It was pure pure pure shit. the story line and characters from the normal franchise was removed, the voice actors sounded embarrassed to be there, game play sucked ass, and you could kill basically anything with one stab. That begin said it had the best damn dinosaurs and dinosaur movements i've ever seen in a game.

Quake 4 - Supremely under rated. you get to see your limbs sawed off and robotic ones replace them. this game rocks!

Evil Dead - Fist full of boomstick
This game deserves an 11 out of 10 just for having Bruce Campbell's real voice and hours of bloodstained chainsaw boomsitck fun.

Gamespot gave Conlfict: Dessert Storm 1 & 2 something rediculous like 4/10.

But then gamespot is something rediculous itself so according to my calculations, it should cancel out and the correct score for each game is 16/10. Yeah, that sounds about right to me.

That, plus the majority are hated by morons who haven't even PLAYED them (and no, 1 hour is not adequate game time).
I wouldn't call them morons, but it is pretty true. A lot of people here usually just follow ZP and say "It sucks because it's 3D".

3 games,
Viking: Battle for Asgard was awesome for me, finished it 2 times.
Lair was also pretty awesome, I started playing it after the analog stick upgrade which makes it great IMO.
Haze was also a good deal of fun for me, I think the online modes are pretty good and although the story isn't very good or fun, I just loved blasting through it with no sense at all. :p

Oh yeah, I also love the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series that everyone seem to hate. (Warriors Orochi is one of my most played games ever :p)
