Modern Warfare 2. The game is exactly like its predecessor. It has no reason for existing. When a game gets most of its attention because of the online aspect, you know the game can't possibly be good on its own.
The entire Modern Warfare/ Bad company/ Halo 3 set of games, where the single player game is pretty much abandoned in favor of having you play the game with a bunch of asswipes who think it is fun to throw cheap, honor-less shots before they die in hope of getting a kill.
Also Final Fantasy post-6. The game was decent beforehand, with the turn based battles coming and going relatively quickly, but the rest just seem to want to tell the story in A) a very poor method and B) repetitive plot points, with little exception other than the characters themselves.

WoW, and GTAIV is fun, but it's not the godsend everyone makes it out to be. Also, JRPGs. Any of them.
well the opposite of this question, i liked batallion wars on the game cube, everyone elese hated it

I HATE IT! There's just something innately wrong with a game you can win the majority of your online matches against humans but still lose to the AI on easy. I call it the "math" program where it's set up to counter everything you do when you do it. You can't win! It's also known as the "Mortal Kombat 1-3" program.

SoTC. I can't stand playing an unbearable prick doing unbearably prickesh things to wonderfully designed titanic beings on the orders of one of the most obvious antagonists that I have ever seen (c'mon [Wander?] it is a voice through a freaking hole in the ceiling).
All for a single young woman, and what I admit is one of the most well done endings I have seen.
Oblivion I thought was too glitchy and bland to devote too much of my life to (I must say that I view Fallout 3 as being much of what Oblivion should have been in the first place, fast forwarded several thousand years, and nuked half to hell, in other words, I think it is superior).
And Half Life 2 wasn't bad, but I actually found myself aggravated by most of the characters (especially Alyx for various reasons that I cannot refine into anything more than a massive rant). I will admit I spent more time making them go through a special type of hell in garrysmod.

Grand Theft Auto 4 was incredibly unfun, boring and idiotic.

I tend to avoid playing those. It's working out quite well.
Oblivion. Tried several times to get into it. Different play styles, different characters, with mods, without mods, just got bored really quickly each time.

Well since you said no Halo 3 I can't really think of one, I can think of some games I liked and everyone else hated, but no Visa Versa.

BioShock - I can see why other's love it, but I just can't get into it. Loved BioShock 2 though.
God Of War - One of the best brawlers I've played, and I kinda liked it, but I didn't love it like there's no tomorrow like so many others.

Portal: It's alright but not the greatest game ever made that everyone makes it out to be.
King of Fighters XII: An unfinished and broken mess.
Tekken 5: Compared to Blazblue and Street Figher it's a subpar fighting game with subpar mechanics.
